Long & McQuade Musical Instruments

There are four locations in Calgary, but I lean on this one a lot, and that has a lot to do with the help. Both Paul and Pat have blown me away with their knowledge and ability to help me get the best gear for the money.

We had an amazing experience with Rob and Ross from the rental department when we needed a last-minute sound system rental for our wedding after finding out it did not come with one. They helped us figure out exactly what we needed, checked that everything was working, and explained how to set everything up so that the sound would be optimized we had live music. We can not say enough about how easy they made a very stressful experience and how knowledgeable they were. The music was perfect for our wedding day!

I went in today with a general idea of what I was shopping for but was seeking some help to decide what guitar would suit my son best. Paul was incredibly helpful, he was able to help me compare a couple guitars and played them for me to hear the differences in sound. Followed it up by helping with suggestions for strings and accessories for the multiple other guitars in our home.nHis Christmas vest was pretty epic too!nnThanks Paul!

My teen daughter and I came here the other day to get a new string put on her acoustic guitar. The very friendly guy that helped us said that because it wasn’t busy, that he would do it for us right then and also show my daughter how to do it herself if she ever broke a string. What amazing “above & beyond” service! And this is exactly why we’ve bought everything from a kazoo to a piano from here… great service! Thank you!

I have been to this store a number of times with my son, who has been learning to play guitar. He has purchased a number of things now and every staff member we have dealt with has been incredibly great! Always patient and answered our questions thoroughly. Not once has there ever been any sales pressure or upselling. This is the place to go for your musical instruments and supplies.nIt even makes me want to learn to play guitar, but none of these nice people deserve that kind of challenge.
