We stayed one night here to explore Ottawa. It’s a pretty good location. The rooms were quaint but on the small side. It does have a more retro feel to it. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fine. Parking was available but a little bit of a hassle. Good spot for a brief stay.

My wife booked a room online for 3 adults...description given was that it would be a king bed and a pull out couch. When we got our room it was a king bed and a chair. Front desk offered to bring us a cot which we declined as that is not what we booked. The manager found us another room as the clerk could not and then they asked us if we touched anything in the first room they had given us as they didn't want to have to clean it again! We informed them that we hadn't. The 2nd room had the pull out couch we needed but when we opened it up to make the bed we found a large chunk of melted chocolate left in the bed. We took a photo of it and showed the front desk.....not exactly how a room should be left...they didn't seem to care in the least...even the manager was informed and just shrugged his shoulders. We asked the front desk clerk about parking on a side street and the answer we were given was they didn't know anything about parking as they themselves don't drive....not sure what that has to do with being knowledgable about parking in the vacinity of the hotel they work at and they proceeded to tell us to google it. We also asked about parking in the underground so that we could charge our 2nd car overnight and we were told it was $22. We parked the car in the underground and the next day when we exited the parking garage we were charged $44. When we called and asked why that was the case we were told we should have paid at the front desk instead of at the exit kiosk.....ummm no one informed us of that when we asked about parking and the reason we called instead of going back to the front desk is because we had somewhere to be. We would definately NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff was not friendly at all, accomodations were not what we booked and no one seemed to care about our stay in the least. Another family was asked to leave the bar area as they had teenaged kids who wanted to watch the FIFA game but they were tod no kids in the bar....the bar and the seating area are all one in the same!! Very disappointing for a Four Points chain.
I loved my stay at this hotel. 1. 1/4 of the price from downtown Ottawa 2. 15 minute walk to parliament, 30 to ByWard Market, 20 to the National gallery, across from Canadian History museum. 3. Showers have good water pressure and hot 4. CleannDefinitely recommend it. Only issue is the AC being loud when it starts but you can just turn it off.
First time here, and I was very disappointed with the hotel room.nI had issues with the bathroom—the ventilation wasn't working and the bathtub was clogged; I asked reception to have them fixed, but nothing was done. The doors don't close properly, so noise from the hallway carries through. The quality doesn't justify the price paid.
