Crowne Plaza Gatineau-Ottawa

This hotel just changed names, it used to be Wyndham Gatineau with very bad reviews. I hope they change their attitude towards customers and the whole business model. I got charged twice for the room, had heck of a time getting through the person in charge Chantal, finally 3 weeks after my visit they refunded the charges. If you have an issue that you are trying to resolve over the phone or email - be prepared to be ignored for weeks. Also, if you give them your credit card at check in - be prepared for extra charges they won't tell you about. On top, no AC and no windows to open, on the hot day it's an oven you are slowly baking in. They don't clean the room, not even as little as pick up the garbage for 3 days we were there. Pool is closed. There is a construction and garbage on the back yard. For the money we paid we could easily stay elsewhere way nicer. Do not recommend

Great place, easy access to the highway. Super friendly staff. The buffet breakfast was great and really good staff breakfast $17 but worth it. Big comfortable room, great beds and shower. Recommend

Dirty corridor on our floor, dirty carpeting in all elevators we took. Seemingly understaffed at the front desk. Very slow check in with a long line. The room's thermostat didn't sem to work. It showed constantly 27 C duringour stay, regardless we put it to lower temperature.nThe room, the washroom and the bed was clean but outdated with peeling leather bed. Good mattress but uncomfortable pillows.

Ok, so I check in .. but there’s only one dude wearing a hoodie checking people in. 1nguy for everything. So wait time … I finally go to my room, kinda funny cos they did these half ,renovations. They’ve got this huge bathroom with tub from the 1960’s I kid you not. Time for bed , there’s a sheet and a thin little blanket it’s almost winter ! no duvet cos their too cheap that’s the theme here CHEAP OUT !!! So u think well there’s a pull out couch there’s a duvet or something in there … NOTHING !!!nSo I call the front desk , and the dude brings another little blanky, maybe if I double them up I’ll be comfortable. I’ve never be to a hotel in Ottawa region cos it gets cold with this pathetic offering. Even in Cuba they do better , DO BETTER!!!

Over all beautiful place, spacious and clean rooms. No pool or wifi
