Worst night sleep ever!!! My Smart Watch says I've slept 4h23m. I was in room 1120 and the bed squeaked with every move I made. Seriously, this is a Marriott hotel brand which I've had good experience with. I just can't believe that previous guests have not complained about the squeezing bed. Does the hotel simply ignore the complaints? Personally, I advised the front of the issue. Otherwise, the hotel staff have been great and the room itself except the bed is nice and well attended to. I've given 3-stars neutral feedback because the core purpose for a hotel is to have a place to sleep. Having a bed that squeaks with every move and wakes you up defeats this purpose, regardless of other qualities that the hotel may have.
I arrived by car and parked in the temporary space in front of the main lobby. The check-in process was very quick and efficient. I was given two room keys, and given instructions on how to enter the hotel parking space. Essentially I had to swing around the building and go down the ramp into the underground parking. If I recall correctly, they have two levels dedicated to the Delta. I felt the parking spaces were more than fine and found myself parking in and around the same spaces as I made my way in and out of the hotel.nOne of the main reasons I chose the Delta was for the gym, and I was quite pleased with the result . it was slightly on the cold side but the variety of equipment was quite good. The equipment felt new and clean and I really enjoyed my workouts during my stay.nThe room was fine, most importantly, was the fact that it was quiet . The only awkward thing as I mentioned in the rooms was having that piece of furniture inside the wardrobe, which made it complicated to access the coffee machine as well as getting my clothes in and out of the wardrobe. Besides that everything was fine the staff was pleasant to deal with and I will definitely consider going back to the Delta next time. I am in Ottawa.
Stay somewhere else. Expensive hotel not up to expensive hotel standards. The staff were nice, gave me chocolates for International Women’s Day. Lobby and restaurant were nice and new. Hotel room was out-dated and in need of repairs, smallest mini fridge I’ve ever seen and wasn’t even a microwave in our room. Bathrooms were so small you had to stand beside the toilet to open the door. Sauna was not in nice shape. For the price you pay, plus $20 per day parking, I definitely would’ve stayed elsewhere. Too dingy and run down for $200 a night.
Booked a king room. Upon check in was told I was upgraded to a king room because of my status. Showed that I already had a king room booked on my app and was told it shows that because of the upgrade??. I should have been upgraded to a suite which was available. Was told I’ll need to pay an additional 100/night for the room and club access which is supposed to be part of my status anyways.nnKing bed room and washroom are very small. Barely enough room for one person. Went to charge my phone and plugs next to bed don’t work. Ceiling has multiple cracks. Shower has very little pressure.nnI’ve stayed here multiple times in past but it’s age and upkeep is really showing. Lobby and staff are nice.nnWhile it looks like others have had similar complaints which have been acknowledged by management - the question is what are they doing about it
Rooms weak points: had a door to the next door room,so could hear the other guests noises very well. I asked for the different room with no shared door!. The new room bathroom door was nt very tight and after shower I got water every where on the floor!nRooms are old, and I paid aboit 350 every night. Rooms worth maybe 100 box a night.nWindows are quite dirty. TV very small and very old, bed wasnt comfortable and noisy.nGuests were very noisy and loud when waiting for the lifts, could hear them loud at 2pm.nThey asked me to deposit 250 on arrival,which got it back on check out, but its redicls to have this much for deposit.nMy sugg: dont go there,too expensive for what you get.
