Visited Ottawa for a quick work trip and stayed two nights at Delta. The room was spacious and clean and I liked the fact you needed a room card to use the elevator. It is located downtown so it is very walkable. The parking is underground and accessible off Queen St. The onsite restaurant was nice as I arrived late and was able to use in-room dining to order a pizza which was delicious! The Tim Hortons onsite is also an added plus! I am not a fan of downtown hotels, but I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of accessing this hotel. The only thing that was a downside for me was the room did not have a microwave to use for my left over pizza the next day. Also something note worthy is there was plenty of outlets between the desk area and next to the bed. I would stay again if in the area.
Front desk, concierge and housekeeping staff were friendly. The rooms could use some paint. They are on the smaller side. The mini fridge sits on the floor which is odd. The pool was really nice, big, heated, deeper end. The sauna could use some work. There are several elevators so you are never waiting long for one. The restaurant was good, excellent service, but breakfast buffet was cold and expensive, it is better to order from the menu.
I made a reservation 6 weeks in advance. The only request was to get a quiet room. At the moment of check in at 3 pm the room wasn't ready. I waited 1 hour, the room still wasn't available. I was given another room with a shitty bathroom. Despicable... Oh, and I am a Marriott member......

I travel all over the world and stay at multiple hotel brands, I would definitely recommend you to my friends, family and colleagues, I was very impressed by the professionalism and generous hospitality. The rooms were spacious, great view and loved the available amenities in the room. I look forward to future stays!
I’ve stayed at countless Delta Hotels on business, and this one really missed the mark.nnThe room looked like they had tried to renovate it with the smallest budget possible so they could be able to claim it was an updated room and charge more.nnImmediately upon entering, I could hear the toilet running loudly, non-stop. I opened it up and saw that the hardware inside was very old, crusty, and required adjustment in order for the toilet to run properly.nnThe wallpaper was stained in various spots and was also peeling off all over the room walls.nnThe bathroom was the worst one I’ve seen in awhile. The shower is very dated and dirty. The ceiling paint in the shower was peeling off.nnThe mirror installed was chipped on the bottom right making it sharp if you touched it, and also compromising the structural, integrity. I wouldn’t be surprised if it shatters all over a guest in the future.nnAs you can see on the pictures, they installed the sink too close to the mirror so they had to put the faucet on the side. Unfortunately, they used a super short and narrow faucet. With the poor water pressure, when using the sink, your hands hit the side of the sink and the water just spills all over the countertop around the faucet. You can’t properly use the sink. To make matters worse, the water leaks around the faucet hole through the counter and drips all over the floor where your feet are underneath. The puddle by the faucet also sits right under the only electrical socket in the washroom which makes using hair dryers, etc a little unsafe.nnThroughout the room, the power sockets are missing screws and are stained and very old yellow coloured.nnThe room didn’t have a secure safe anywhere in it. The fridge and other surfaces were dirty and dusty. The base boards had tons of dirty scuff marks.nnOverall, this property claims to be a 4 star, but the room I had was more like a 1 or 2 star quality room. The location is decent, being right downtown. I stayed at the Marriott nearby before and it was way better than this place. When you enter the room you aren’t greeted with the quality most Delta Hotels provide. You are greeted with a musky, stale, dated, dirty looking accommodation . Save your money, don’t book at the Delta.
