We enjoyed our stay in Ottawa. The view of the city from our room on 14th floor was great. It had picture windows so view and light were great.nStaff on reception were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.nEntrance foyer spacious and clean with iced water always available.nSwimming pool was also clean with floats for the children.nThe hotel had direct link to the transit.nAn ideal position for sight seeing.
I had the privilege of staying in one of the newly renovated rooms, and it was a great experience. Everything was modern, well organized, spotless, and very comfortable.nnThere is some construction and renovation work currently taking place at the hotel, which can be a little noticeable at times, but nothing that significantly affected my stay.nnThe lounge was another highlight. The breakfast was very well prepared, with a good selection, and the lounge team was absolutely incredible. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.
Stayed for 4 nights in a 2x double bed room with club lounge access, with our two kids. The pros: Great location, great swimming pool and fitness facilities including a squash court, the club lounge breakfast and evening hours doeuvres were very good. The cons: the rooms are very small, with the bathrooms the smallest I’ve ever seen outside of a cruise ship. I would say uncomfortably small for more than 1 person staying. The room doors are very noisy when closing - you can hear every door on the floor slam closed while you are trying to sleep. And there is a gap around the door outline so the light from the corridor comes in. Walls and ceilings appear to be thin you can hear a lot from adjoining rooms. The cons aren’t anything the regular staff can fix - it’s the physical design of the rooms themselves.
Great location. The rooms could use some updating. The wallpaper and carpets looks a bit tired. But the bed is comfortable and the place is clean. Shower was great. Staff was really nice. And the location is perfect. Parking is a bit pricy and a bit tight to maneuver. The only real complaint i have is the doors to the adjoining rooms do little to block out noise. It's ok of you have a decently quiet neighborhood but if not it could be annoying.
I stayed here for three nights to attend a conference at Rogers Centre Ottawa. This is the perfect location when it comes to walkability as several major attractions are nearby. If not, it was easy to rent bicycles or scooters to get around; no need to maneuver the car out of a tight parking spot each time we left the hotel. Rooms are just around average size for an older hotel. The fitness centre was average for a hotel, meaning not that great and the pool water was murky.
