Coast Lethbridge Hotel & Conference Centre

I booked a King Suite with a Jacuzzi tub at the Coast Hotel for Valentine’s weekend in the first week of February, as a special getaway for my girlfriend and me. Before booking, we actually visited the hotel to check it out in person. During that visit, we were honestly disgusted by the condition of the public pool and hot tub, which appeared poorly maintained and unclean. Despite this, we decided to book anyway, specifically choosing a private suite with a Jacuzzi so we could still enjoy the experience.nnUnfortunately, on February 9, I was contacted by email and informed that our booked room was no longer available due to a renovation delay. The only alternative offered was a Queen Junior room, which was a significant downgrade from what we originally planned and paid for. Because this was a Valentine’s weekend trip, the room choice was a major part of our plans, and this last-minute change forced us to make significant adjustments.nnWhile the hotel did offer a small discount for the inconvenience, it didn’t come close to making up for the disappointment or disruption to what was meant to be a special occasion. I understand that renovations happen, but better planning, clearer communication, and overall maintenance of facilities would have gone a long way. This experience was especially disappointing given the effort we put into planning a meaningful weekend.

Room was VERY small. One side of the bed didn't even have a night stand - rather a cabinet with the mini fridge in it. I'm sure other rooms would have been better. Staff was all very friendly and the location was perfect for our business meeting the next morning.

I had such a wonderful experience during my stay, and a big part of that was thanks to DJ at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly friendly and welcoming—it truly set the tone for a great visit. I was pleasantly surprised to be named the Guest of the Day, which came with some amazing perks! DJ made sure it was a memorable experience—he upgraded my room, gave me a bunch of chocolates, and was just so warm and attentive throughout. On top of that, it was the quickest check-in ever—super efficient and hassle-free, which I really appreciated after a long drive.

Not a great experience. Construction everywhere. Supplies everywhere. Was moved to another room with zero notice resulting in hours of shuffling as I was staying there for three weeks. First rooms carpets were very visibly dirty and stained. Of the dozens of times I smiled and waved to the front desk staff upon entering the building I was acknowledged exactly three times. Most times met with a stern glare. The Firestone Grill is amazing highly recommended.

Dirty AC units that were so loud grinding ball bearing that we couldn’t sleep. We had to unplug and it froze. Management should have these units and cleaned at least once a year but fail to do so. Layers of dirt in the AC units. Must’ve known of this as other guests must have said something, but choose to ignore. Won’t be back.
