Not a great experience. Construction everywhere. Supplies everywhere. Was moved to another room with zero notice resulting in hours of shuffling as I was staying there for three weeks. First rooms carpets were very visibly dirty and stained. Of the dozens of times I smiled and waved to the front desk staff upon entering the building I was acknowledged exactly three times. Most times met with a stern glare. The Firestone Grill is amazing highly recommended.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! We arrived for our wedding to check in and was told construction was not done and we had downgraded. My husband had to argue for us to have a king bed and nice room, like we asked for, for our wedding! We had no curtains, just a weird film on the windows, our light fixture did not work and was permanently on, and the living space had one working bulb. It was tiny and had such a strange layout.nnWhen my husband went to inquire about the other guests staying in our wedding block, he was told their rooms would be downgraded. We had to tell the front desk attendant to call our guests to notify them so they are not blind sided when checking in. Every guest who stayed was extreme disappointed and unsatisfied. It was so embarrassing for us as we booked them for our guests.nnMy sister was placed in a tiny “newly renovated” barely any space to move room. They were lied to and told it was a king. It was absolutely a queen. When they checked out the lady was confused and said they had the wrong room. It was absolutely embarrassing for our family and guests to stay here. The rooms have no space to move and the smallest washrooms and sink sink as there is no counter. The renovations were definitely to make rooms smaller to add more rooms.nnTHE POOL was disgusting!! The hot tub had a film on top and obviously has not been cleaned in quite some time. The jets did not work and also had a slimy feel. Both pool and hot tub were cracked and pealing. When entering the slimy pool, I slid on the steps and almost fell due to how slippery it was. It’s very run down and NOT MAINTAINED.
I had such a wonderful experience during my stay, and a big part of that was thanks to DJ at the front desk. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly friendly and welcoming—it truly set the tone for a great visit. I was pleasantly surprised to be named the Guest of the Day, which came with some amazing perks! DJ made sure it was a memorable experience—he upgraded my room, gave me a bunch of chocolates, and was just so warm and attentive throughout. On top of that, it was the quickest check-in ever—super efficient and hassle-free, which I really appreciated after a long drive.
I would recommend against staying at this hotel. For the price point of nearly $200 a night, you can absolutely find something else.nnMy husband and I spent two nights in this hotel. Things seemed fine until we went up to the third floor to find our room and we were shocked to see the entire floor was being torn apart due to renovations. The hallway walls were half ripped apart, the lights were hanging out of the ceiling, there were renovation supplies and garbage from the workers left scattered around. You had to be cautious where you walked. During the day, renovations were actively happening with music blasting, tools running, and workers throughout the halls.nnWe got to our room which was a good size. However, the carpets appear stained, worn and very dirty. I was uncomfortable walking around the room without shoes on. The bathroom was clean and facilities were in good shape. The mattress was worn or broken and very sunken in the middle. The bed was generally uncomfortable. We were quite disgusted to find snot smeared across our bed frame. We also were disappointed to find we were only given shampoo and hand soap. Our AC did not work.nnOur sheets and bathroom were clean and the staff we interacted with were friendly. However, it seems unfair that we paid regular price of nearly $200 to sleep directly outside a construction zone. It felt unsafe to walk through the halls that were undergoing renovations. My husband spent his time sneezing and reacting to the dust from the renovations. The rooms require some upgrades and more thorough cleanings after each stay.
We had a wonderful time at the New Year’s event. The food was excellent, the service was attentive and gracious, and the décor was absolutely beautiful. The entire evening felt elegant, welcoming, and very thoughtfully put together.
