We had a roadside emergency today. Driver was great and they take dogs. But if you don’t have an address and just need to be picked up roadside, they get a little confused. Talked to 3 different guys before one said it wasn’t a problem. Expect $5-10 more than estimated if you ask for that. Thanks for the ride Pacific cabs.
With this comment I want to say a big thank you to the great people of Pacific Cabs. After a couple of very bad experiences during her internship in Langley, my daughter decided it was enough; the nasty manager of this place then told her she had to leave before noon the next day. To fully get the picture you need to know that we live in Europe. I think it's wrong to send a 19 year old girl away like that in the first place!! Anyway, at such short notice the choice of flights is limited and her best option was a flight departing at 09.00h a.m. which meant she needed transport to the airport in the middle of the night. After booking an Uber, which couldn't offer any service before 05.00h a.m. she waited two hours and eventually got a message from Uber saying there was no driver available... All in all a truly horrible experience!! My daughter then called me for help. I found Pacific Cabs and called them right away. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone at 05.00h your time, mind you was very friendly and helpful and booked the ride for us. He asked his superior and came back to me for payment by credit card. I could not thank him enough!!! 15 minutes later my daughter sent me a message saying she was on her way to the airport and later she told me the driver was very friendly and neatly dropped her off at the airport. I think Pacific Cabs has offered us a very high service level. It's so great to know that even when you're at the other side of the world, there are awesome people who can and will help you. So I wholeheartedly recommend this company!!!
I booked a taxi to the airport from these guys the day before my flight. I booked it for noon. At noon the next day, I hadn't yet heard from anyone so I called to check where my taxi was. Guy who answers the phone says "cab is coming". I wait another 10 minutes and hear nothing so I call them back again. They put me on hold again for so long that the actual driver called me, just to tell me it would take him 12 more minutes to get to me. Half an hour after the time I booked to go to the AIRPORT. If I hadn't called them TWICE, they would have just let me sit there. Horrible service. If you are looking for a reliable taxi service, I would HIGHLY recommend you don't choose this one.
DO NOT USE THIS TAXI SERVICE They have no service. They have promises but don’t deliver. Set up a wheel chair taxi for my mom to go from the care home to Peace Arch Hospital. Pick up was booked for 12:30 as she had a 2 pm appointment I figured that gave a lot of wiggle room for anything unexpected. The This is especially true for handicapped hospital is a 15 minute drive. At 12;45 I called to see how much longer was told very busy should be soon I called at 1pm 1:15 1:30 1:45 still waiting. They said it would be 5 pm. My mom missed her appointment Is now going to be charged a fee for no notice of cancellation more importantly she needed to have that appointment. I’m filing a complaint with the city as that is where they get the permits I’m suggesting that they need to be monitored like other businesses. If a service is being offered it needs to be given as promised.
I booked more than 24 hours in advance for a wheelchair accessible taxi to take me to an important medically related appointment at 3:00 on a Tuesday. I was assured that the taxi would be there. I allowed 15 minutes extra just to be certain or for heavy traffic. Turns out that when I called at 2:15 the cab was going to be 15 mins late. When I called 20 minutes later they had no idea how long the taxi would take to arrive to pick me up. At 2:45 I cancelled my 3PM appointment as it takes 30 minutes under ideal conditions to travel. I phones Pacific Cabs and told them that they caused me a lot of stress, I had to reschedule and will NEVER use their taxi company again. They have no idea about what it means to make a commitment or a promise. They'll tell you what they think you will want to hear. Terrible company and despicable management.
Drivers were friendly and helpful with my dad who is in a wheelchair. I found service much quicker if you call instead of pre-booking for pickup. The fact they have several wheelchair accessible vans is so reassuring.
Pacific Cabs have unfailingly delivered each time we needed them. They always come on time even earlier than the scheduled pick up and provided good service. We will continue to use them.
On 2 separate occasions we arranged for a taxi to come several days in advance to pick up my wheelchair-bound mother for a night out. They agreed to come, but never came, both times. No explanation or apology was offered. When we called they showed no understanding of the situation. Communication was terrible. This is something worse than negligence or incompetence. DO NOT even consider making plans with or relying on this company. 1 star is far too many.
Other rides have been ok, ordered a cab 1 hour and 30 minutes ago it hasn’t arrived. Called and was put on hold, then they picked up 10 minutes later and hung up, second time I called they did it again but after I was on hold for 20 minutes. One cab driver also got stuck in my driveway from the recent snowy weather. He insisted on me pushing his car, me and my friend tried so hard while he just hit the gas and he went back and fourth so much he dug a hole in the lawn. Not one thank you, nothing, not a smile, not a sorry for putting a hole in your driveway, ridiculous.
If I could give a negative star I would. We called in and booked a wheelchair cab for to and from appointment. The cab was late to pick up and then didn't show for drive home. We called several times within the hour and half after the cab was to be there and they said the cab will be a while longer. Why have a booking service and not show? Seniors waiting hours for a cab in this weather is absolutely disgusting service. I get the wheelchair taxis are numbered but that's why we booked one!
