Alamo Rent A Car

Fee after fee after fee. My father was renting a car after having lost his wallet and trying to get back home. So I had to use my credit card. However apparently it has to be the drivers credit card. So they put the rental under my name. But I’m under 25 so I was charged a 25 dollar a day fee. Then they didn’t have a car in our category so we were charged a fee for the next category up which isn’t our fault. Only good part was getting a nice Dodge Charger that we enjoyed driving.

Quick and easy. You pay a premium to pick up/drop off at the airport but that’s pretty standard. They didn’t have my requested size available so they gave me a free upgrade. The car was clean (except for a half-consumed bottle of water in the console) and checking out was efficient. I completed my profile online so that sped things up even further. Returning the car was easy as well. An agent directed me where to park, scanned the code on the vehicle and generated a receipt on the spot for exactly the quoted amount. Overall, one of the most positive car rental experiences. Bonus that they were cheaper than the other guys that operate out of the airport terminal. I will definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

I previously wrote that: "One star is too many for this rental car office. I cannot recommend Alamo to anyone...don't leave anything in the vehicle because you will never see it again, even if it is a key that you attached to the ring with the vehicle key and fob for safe keeping during your rental period; not sure why they even have a lost and found." but it turns out that Alamo just needed more time to find my keys and have now contacted me that they have found them, so I am Alamo all the way again!

One of the best car rental experiences I have had. It was last minute, but Alamo hooked me up with a great deal. I would encourage anyone to enroll in their club/membership program. It is worth the sign up as it is free and comes with a ton of benefits. The service counter was very friendly and helpful. The whole process was easy and stress free.

We have used their services on various trips via Costco. Never had any issues with picking up or dropping off at the airport. The vehicle's have always been clean and well maintained. Staff have always been friendly and polite. Cost per rental via Costco membership have always been cheaper than the competition.
