Peel Car Rental

My elderly parents rented a vehicle from this location through airport rentals dot com. The vehicle exchanged hands at night, and my parents weren't given the option to view the vehicle for damage prior to taking the vehicle over. My parents were pressured to pay for the additional insurance while on site, prior to leaving with the vehicle. Once they brought the vehicle back, the representative said there was a scratch/damage to the vehicle's rear bumper. The representative denied the insurance purchase and coverage of damages. The representative requested the proof of payment from my parents. The representative never gave the proof of payment back. My parents were expecting to pay only about $800 for their 50th wedding anniversary with family, but were forced to pay about $1800, with accusations and scams. Please... Do not use this company to rent a vehicle.

Worst fraud guy I have ever met. We had reached an hour late due to our flight.the guy told he was closed.we had to stay the night in a motel after paying 100 dollars due to these crooks.i drove the car nicely even cleaned before returning .the owner,s son said no defect but later charged my card from deposit.also he dropped us at train terminal instead of the airport as promised.

When we arrived at Toronto airport we were collected and taken to Peel Car Rentals, all seemed fine until we were asked where we would be going on our vacation, as soon as we mentioned we would be travelling approx.40 miles into USA we were told there was now an additional fee of $50 plus tax (totalling $68). We have hired cars from Toronto airport and driven into USA before and have never been charged extra for this. As we were now at Peel Car Rental we had very little option other than to pay. We were also informed that our unlimited mileage option was no longer valid, we had a limit of 200 miles per day. It is also very hard to find Peel Car Rental when returning the car, this took us approx. 45 minutes of driving round and round the same block to find the correct entrance.My advice would be to stick to one of the larger on airport companies, it is cheaper and easier in the long run.

DO NOT USE! Well! First of all, when we dropped the hire car back they said we had to pay regardless of the fact that obviously we had already paid prior to even entering the country! He came around the desk, raising his voice, demanding payment despite being fully aware we had already paid the parent company and became more and more aggressive. I'm glad it was my husband I was travelling with because if it was just me and my mother we likely would have paid again just to get out of there. How many other tourists has he ripped off in this way?! He was extremely intimidating. Worse still, clearly not satisfied with completely souring a lovely break we get home and find he has taken the money off of our credit card so he has actually now STOLEN from us too!! We have paid twice for a shocking service from the rudest and most horrid man I've ever met. ABSOLUTE DISGRACE, DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. As you can see from the response this business owner doesn't seem to realise that he is responsible for getting his money from the business that provides his work so he will just steal it from your bank a month or so later and say it's your fault even though he does not tell you about any parent company issues when you pick up your vehicle so that you are fully aware of all the details so that you can make an informed decision. This company steals from you bank account DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Started as a budget experience, ended in a complex scam. They pretend to be the off brand local family underdog and have to be called to cone and pick you up from viscount station. Then they scratch their heads because what you paid already doesn't cover the out of hours pick up (I since learned this is what they try with everyone). So they charge another $30 and waste an hour of your trip. Then they won't let you go unless you buy More insurance cover. This is well known in car rental, excess cover is always a bit suspect. But when I explained I already had cover they would not believe it until I had emailed proof. No one else would care. When I return my ancient Nissan with 80k on the clock he suddenly finds a tiny scratch that has rust on it. The kind of thing I pointed out and he said was fine 10 days previous. But now he has to charge $500. They're not actually going to repair it so why are the insurance company taking an excess? Its a bushit scam and I have since read more reviews where they did exactly the same thing. Actively avoid !!
