Avis Car Rental

I'm a corporate customer and l only rent high end vehicles. I've always had a very positive experience renting a vehicle at this location. So far I've rented at the Pearson Airport Avis location about 15 times and have never had an issue thus far. Good luck calling the office in advance however because it is impossible since none of the employees pick up the phone. Once you are at the physical location you will find that the employees are professional and that they have a great selection of vehicles. I've posted a few photographs of vehicles that l have rented in the past so that you have some idea of what is available.

Being a Preferred member really helps. If you are not and you have to go to the main counter, the wait can be long as Avis is a popular rental company. But the staff has always been helpful and nice to me. They have a good selection of cars and SUV's as well. Also the location at the airport is great and the drop off is super fast.

A while ago, I started a new job that required me to travel every week. I reserved a car at Avis Pearson Airport. When I got there, their agent signed me up for a preferred membership so that in future I do not have to wait in long lines. Next week, I came in and went directly to the preferred kiosk. When I got there, the agent working there said that I was not in the system as a preferred guest and that I would have to go all the way back to the main desk to get a car. When I told him that they signed me up last week (and provided a Member ID), he answered rudely that he has no time for me and he moved on to another customer. I went back to the main desk and asked to speak to a Manager … but he wouldn’t even listen to me. He was coming up with excuses that were defending his agent. Long story short, its now been 5.5 years since this incident. I immediately switched to Avis’ competitor and have rented from this competitor exactly 49 weeks a year x 5 days each week. With 5 and a half years of rentals, the math becomes clear ... that’s a lot of revenue they missed out on simply because their agent “did not have time for me”.

Be aware travelling from the US, fraud attempt. Long story short, they claimed damage on the car, changed their story twice on the location of the damage (one time on the driver side, and another on the passenger side). Absolute dishonesty, and I am assuming a US California drivers licence is an easy opportunity for a fraudulent claim. Was a customer for over 20+ years. Never again.

Quick service and wide selection of cars. Staff is friendly and they help you through out the process. They make renting a car easy and affordable, plus they're open late
