National Car Rental

I had an excellent experience. I didn't know how long I would need the car. The first car was a Dodge Durango. Way too big for me but my son drove it and we needed the space. I returned it when he went home and asked for a smaller car. They were very accommodating and gave me something more my speed. I returned that car early as my work was done. No issues. I have rented from National in Toronto many times and have always had a good experience

Great experience with National at Toronto airport. My flight was late, but the car was still waiting for me (thing that did not occur often with other car rental companies in the same situation). I was out of there real quick. The car was fun and safe to ride. The return experience was also great, I was out of there in a jiffy. I will definitely rent again with National

The service was excellent! Fast and very efficient process of checking out your reserved car. Clerk set me up automatically to the Emerald club after seeing I could benefit from this service. Upgraded to full size vehicle and SUV the second time. Vehicles clean and well maintained. Will continue with National Car rental for future bookings.

Friendly staff and cooperative. Fast access to car I need. One issue I can see which is likely common with other car rental companies is the winterization of the cars, winter tires rarely found on the cars and to company safety policy that is a big concern. Other than that I continue using them and will remind them when I need a car with good tires as most the cars almost are brand new.

I rent from National regularly as I like the option of choosing any car in the aisle and going. I seldom have any difficulties. My only complaint is that I never receive any instruction about individual vehicles, particularly with regard to idiosyncrasies of which to be aware. I didn't realize with my last rental, for example, that the vehicle had a remote start feature. As it was -20 I went out and started the vehicle and was very careful to ensure the doors were unlocked. However, when I returned the doors had locked automatically. It cost me $70.00 to have a vehicle service open the door. The customer service people at National were less than sympathetic, explaining I should have paid the $7.00 a day road side assistance fee when I took the vehicle. I was less than impressed.
