Great local business that really serves the community. They are really helpful. Honest pricing. I called around for quotes and ace cycles is the lowest. I have gotten my brake cables, wheel, gears done at ace cycles. Wonderful work. Since they are so popular, they are busy. I had to "book" a time in advance to get my brake cables. Good guys, great service!

I purchased my first road bike from here and the customer service is incredible. They always remember who I am, what I like to do, etc. It's a great neighbourhood spot. If your looking for something basic or want to get into the sport it's a great place to start. I knew nothing about biking and they really made me feel welcome and comfortable. Not to mention they have taught me many things. Whenever I have a question they are happy to help. I recently bought another bike for them on a Tuesday. On Saturday they ended up having a 20% off sale. I went back with my receipt and they gladly refunded me the difference with no hesitation. I cannot recommend this place enough. No matter what the issue is, they will do their best to assist you if they can. Prices are very, very fair and the staff are courteous and friendly and really know their information. I have been going here since I moved into the area and have not found a shop I like as much as Aces. Many times they will tell me exactly how long it would take to finish the job I needed done on my bike and they usually finish earlier than they expected.

We needed a new bike shop since Dunbar Cycles moved. I was very happy with the attentiveness of the service staff, the clear line of communication and the pricing. The bike mechanic called to tell me about something my bike needed in addition to what I had asked and explained it in a clear manner. I did not feel I was being manipulated into purchasing unnecessary work and/or parts. Picked up the bikes and they ride smoothly and the brakes are perfect. I would recommend this shop again.

Hands down the best customer service I have ever received. James and staff are knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. They offer very fair prices. I've made the mistake of going elsewhere as Ace is not super close to home and have always been disappointed at the indifference and bike snobbery at other shops. None of that here. Will be a customer as long as they're around!

The people who work here are very kind and efficient. I got a flat on my way home, so I had to run into the shop 10 minutes before they closed. They got the work done very quickly and was attentive to the other parts of my bike too. What a team of guys who work there - they are funny and empathetic I was flustered from a bad day that preceded the flat! The price was very reasonable too. Even though they are not in my neighbourhood, I will certainly go back there.

Had an okay experience here. Some of the staff were very good and helpful however, my bike had recently been stolen again and so I was there purchasing another lock for the new bike I’d purchased. It was $70. Not super high end but not insignificant. I asked the woman working if they could mount it for me and she replied they could but that the install is fast and I could do it myself. I told her that If it would only take them a moment since they’re familiar with the process, but would take me 20 minutes to fumble through, I’d appreciate if they could install it. Then she said it’d take them a long time too and left me to figure it out on my own on the sidewalk in front of the store. If you don’t want to help because it’s only a small purchase then that’s ok but be up front about it. Left a bad taste in my mouth which is too bad as many of the staff seemed very knowledgeable and it seemed like a nice neighbourhood spot.

My husband had his bike stolen recently and we went into Ace to look at a replacement. The guys helped him select an awesome new bike, customized the tires and even gave us a discount to soften the loss of his other bike. Friendly, knowledge and genuine. Highly recommend.

came to switch my back tire from fixie to single-speed quickly for free with no problems, whereas other locations charged a $10 service fee. Very friendly and open service . Definitely the spot to get your bike checked up at or fixed.

Exceptional service done by kind people. I have had the Ace tune-up on my bike twice. Both times they were clear on when the bike would be ready, what would be done to it and put in extra effort to get my bike working better than when I bought it. I live closer to other bike shops, but Ace has treated me and my bike so well, it's worth it to travel to their hood.
