Story

VANCOUVER BICYCLE RECYCLING has been established to initiate a means of returning unwanted or abandoned bicycles back into the community. Hundreds of bicycles arrive at Vancouver Landfills on a daily basis. These are bicycles that should be repaired and made available to many a rider in need.

I visited this shop with thoughts of just browsing and left with a great used bike! I'm in no way an expert my knowledge is very basic. I was greeted kindly and all my questions were answered, I spent a touch more then I budgeted for BUT I left with everything I needed to get going right then and there. I found the prices on the used bikes to be reasonable I spent more on all the accessories to be honest. regardless I had my eyes on getting a bike eventually after a few visits but left with one that day. I'm happy and can't wait for the good weather to come. My receipt says I was assisted by Mike who really was very accommodating. I was reassured If I have any issues I can return and have them promptly dealt with. Im very excited about my purchase! As a side note they directed me to where I go to get my bike registered which I will be doing tomorrow. Thanks you guys!

Very poor customer service. Waited 20 minutes while the lady behind the counter chatted on the phone. When she was finally done she was not eager to help me find a bike. I will definitely not be back. Go to the Bike Doctor or Bikes for All if you're looking for people who know what they are doing!

Thanks to Ride-On-Again, my bestie and I had a GREAT TOURISTY DAY!! Bought a bike on Sunday, the main guy in the shop was super helpful in getting us the right size and style within our budget. They even had staff on hand to safety the bike before we took it out. I would definitely choose this place first the next time I am buying or even selling a used bike.

This is the worse service I have ever experienced plus, life threatening. I bought a new bike from them in January ($700) and a few months after I came for a free tune-up that they offer. The bike was completely fine before the tune-up. A few days after one of the spokes broke while I was riding on a busy street with lots of cars around me. I brought a bike to them again, they "repaired it" and again... a few days after a spoke broke. So, I brought it again and... same story. One tune-up and 2 after-tune-up repairs and my bike is broken again. How bad at repairing bikes do you have to be to take a perfectly good bike, manage to ruin it and never be able to fix it again? Seems like these guys have a good location so they don't need to care for customers anymore - super sloppy, super bad.

I walked into the store, and asked the staff politely , "morning, can you guys help me fix my flat tire please?" the staff replied , " bike's a piece of s***, get a new bike" perhaps hes right... but I don't like it. So I went some where else on Main st and got it repaired there.
