I came here for my sister's birthday. The restaurant is packed, so it is strongly recommended to make reservations for weekends. The seafood was reasonably priced and tasted good. Not overly salty like most places. The food and service was fairly good however I wish to point out we had a cake which I believe was placed in their "freezer" for some reason so it was disappointing to find my mousse cake taste like ice cream cake. Also, the server started to lead the birthday song as we were just starting to take family photos prior to lighting the candle. I definitely felt the subtle pressure they wanted us done and speed up the turnover time. At the time of paying for the bill the server stood right beside us while we were counting our bills and doing our calculations. It came off was pretty rude and inconsiderate for a restaurant to not allow space for their clients. If you don't care about the service the food was alright for the price point. But it is very off-putting to be not greeted with the best service. I would probably go back for a quick affordable meal but expect less in the service experience.
I really like this place. It’s the most economical Chinese restaurant. It’s always full of customers during dinner hours, so I bet you better make reservations before you go. Their food portion is good, they won’t downsize the portion according to their price. The food is also very tasty even in this price range. No wonder there are always return customers.
Awesome food at awesome prices! I came here for my mother's birthday, and it did not disappoint! I highly recommend checking Yumi Legend out if you're in the area! The fried pork chop was amazing, as was the steamed lobster!
We four ordered a set menu plus a chicken sweet corn soup. Very good combination but everything came out at the same time and that caused some dishes to have gone cool specially the black bean clamps. The gravy went jello and that wasn't good. But overall the dishes were well prepared and the price was very reasonable.
Definitely a hidden gem in Richmond Hill. Great place for a cost effective delicious Chinese meal with huge portion size. Service was ok. There were only 3 staff working in such busy restaurant. Can’t complain. Will come back to try their seafood dinner combo!
Compared to its competitor nearby, I would say Yumi Legend is far superior in every way. As a former resident of Guangdong province, I put taste and flavours in high regard, and Yumi Legend delivers. All dishes are authentic southern-Chinese. Best thing yet, they offer their dishes at a very, very reasonable price. However, an understaff problem is still plaguing, just like their competitor. All in all, an outstanding dining experience.
This is a great place with authentic Chinese food so it’s a hidden gem as you don’t hear about it in the radio. The wait can be long as the lines are quite long during peak hours so that’s a sign of how good this place is. I would recommend booking if possible to reduce wait times.
Inexpensive and authentic HK meals. The pricing is cheaper than food court, it's unbeatable in the Richmond Hill area. Realistic service expectations are recommended to those who wish to try this place out
Ordered twice from Yumi. The fist time was the lobster combo, which was really good. Everything tasted delish. Only thing is the lobster size was a bit small. The second time we ordered off the afternoon special combo menu. These dishes weren’t as good as the lobster special. It was just okay. Would order again to try other dishes in addition to the ones we know we like because they have an extensive menu.
Came here for family-style dinner for group of 8. Food was okay for the value but you can find better quality at other nearby restaurants. They have Peking duck and lobster available. You may need to be able to speak some Chinese to order here.
