Shopped at this location at least a few times as well as from Instacart. Their wrap sandwiches, breads, and pastries are so good! I recently tried some of the assorted mini tarts. The chocolate mousse and the white chocolate mousse with berries turned out to be my favorites, which is why I saved them for last, because they just looked like they would be the best and I was not disappointed with those ones. My least favorite sadly was the chocolate caramel tart because the caramel filling was so runny, a very sticky mess. But overall I have another place to shop at if I'm ever looking for a good treat/good quality groceries.
Inaccessible signs, otherwise good selection of healthy food options.nnWhen I walked in, I loved the look of the place and the options for healthy food. It's pricey, as all groceries are now. I was very surprised at the signs in the aisles because they were so hard to read, even with my glasses on. I don't believe there's enough contrast between the letters and the background colours of the signage. I think it would be best for everyone - visually-impaired or not - if these signs are changed to a more legible, accommodating font colour/contrast to help guide the patrons better, more efficiently.
Best grocer in ottawa. They have an amazing selection, the flowers are a good price, the fruit is incredibly fresh, and I love the hotbar. Sweet little Cafe in main entrance, as well as a seating area upstairs to eat. Wish there were more grocery stores like this!
The food and produce is good but I had a bad experience with the man working produce today around 11am. I went to politely ask if they had Bean sprouts and he signed before responding aggressively and said “We don’t have bean sprouts PERIOD” as if I was bothering him by asking him a question while he was working. Incredibly hostile and rude. I would hope that the staff is trained to be at least nice in a customer service position.
I have been so grateful for the support received by Johanna I might not have noted her name properly. She has been helpful more than once, when I was using the self-service machine that wasn't working and then another time to provide what I needed. She is also bilingual and offered me to be served in French which I found both kind, respectful and genuine. Thank you!
