Love this store... hate that's owned by Amazon.nStore is just like in the US.. you can expect the same quality experience, layout, all that. They have the grocery section, supplements/ herbal remedies, hot bar and salad bar, and even the whole foods cafe downstairs. The local products are different though, emphasizing Canadian brands. Also the checkout systems aren't linked so you can't use your Prime like you can in the US. In fact, the software is so old and dated - this needs to be upgraded.nI was happy to find this location cause I was missing my favorite candies and stuff that I could only buy at Whole Foods in the US. Really nice and really expensive!
Whole Foods has the largest assortment of healthy, whole grain, plant-based and meat options one roof in Ottawa.nnIt's cheese section has a wide variety international cheeses.nnThe bakery department offers customizable birthday cakes, desserts and breads.nnFruit and vegetables look fresh and delicious and oh so beautifully arranged.nnThe flower and plants section had some really beautiful arrangements.nnThe prepared foods sections is varied and has a few plant-based options. I really enjoyed the Vegan TLT sandwich, it's the first time I enjoy having tempeh.nnThere's also a sitting area to enjoy your meal and the ambience if the whole store is really nice.nnCashier's are friendly and one gets 90 minutes of free underground parking with your purchase
Pleasant shopping experience in a relaxing atmosphere. It is also clean and tidy.nThe staff are always available and very helpful, and knowledgeable about the products too.nnThe eat-in side, for the prepared foods younbought is always clean and stocked with water and utensils. It has tables with chairs, booths, and a high top sitting area with large windows for a view.
Whole Foods Market in Ottawa is fantastic! The store is clean, well-stocked, and the staff are always friendly. They have a great selection of fresh produce, organic options, and specialty items like vegan and gluten-free foods. The hot food bar is perfect for a quick meal, and I love their focus on sustainability. Highly recommend!
They are missing out on specific items and I feel like they can get deeper in some categories. I went for cold pressed coconut oil and organic soy and they only organic coconut oil and soy canned soup.nnGood calamari steak, lobster tail and fresh food section except the sushi are being 40% pricier than H mart and 25% more than tnt.nnStaffs are great. Like it when it is not busy at the checkout.
