During my recent visit to Bombay Spices in Ottawa, I have to admit that I was somewhat disappointed with the overall experience. Although the store does offer a larger space compared to other Indian grocery stores in town, I found that the selection of products lacked the uniqueness that I had anticipated. It is possible that you may find better deals elsewhere.nnOne aspect that I found peculiar was the prohibition on photography inside the store, which was not clearly explained. This policy seemed a bit strange to me. Additionally, the overall atmosphere of the store did not give off a particularly welcoming vibe. The level of service from the staff resembled what one might encounter in India, rather than meeting the standards expected in Canada. However, it is worth mentioning that one female staff member stood out for her helpfulness in assisting me in finding items.
Mostly all types of Indian snacks available. The fulvadi we bought was not so good. Prices are very hyped. This aashirwad flour’s regular price is ~25$ but I recently found it for ~15$ @walmart. That’s such a huge difference. Plus, I recently went here again and found that staff was not quite friendly and welcoming.
It is a wonderful place for shopping. Here you will find all kinds of varieties. The staff here are very nice and helpful. All valuable things of India are present here and available at reasonable rates. You must go here to get the best and cheapest prices. The music playing in the store makes the atmosphere more beautiful. According to me you all should choose this place. You will also feel happy by choosing this place.
A couple of friends independently mentioned this store to me, so finally I checked it out.nnResult: Look no further, Bombay Spices has the broadest, deepest and best selection of authentic products directly from India that I have found in Ottawa.nnThere is a huge selection of instant meals Gits Dhansak 9.5/10, authentic confections Kenyan Chevda Hot 10/10, sweet and hot, unique curio food items, western products marketed in India, most things I don't recognize so it's like an in-country adventure, a trip to India without the airplane.nnThe owner may be in the store, find him and talk with him, I did.nnHighly recommended.
Great location and very big!!! Has almost everything available! I was more surprised with the front counter because these mouth refreshers are not easily available in Toronto/GTA
