Venice Fitness

I have been going to this gym a few weeks now and all seems good. The staff have been nice and welcoming. They have weights, cardio equipment and a change room, all I need to stay fit. Yes some repairs are needed but they just changed management and it seems to be going in a good direction. 💪💪

I'm trying to figure out where some of the people that gave this gym 4-5 stars have been. They have defiantly not been to Venice Fitness on Warden Avenue. This place is a DUMP, and that's putting it kindly. Here is a rundown of what you can expect. There is not a full set of dumbbells, meaning there are not full sets of matching pairs, and most are loose and look like they will fill apart - what happens when you allow members to drop them constantly. There are no fitness classes available - although someone said there was at one time, but no more. Weight machines - lots of them, unfortunately, most broken. Cardio, the same, many machine, not many work! This place is FAR from clean, how the city allows it to operate with such unsanitary conditions in the change rooms is beyond me. More than 1/2 the lockers are broken or un-usable, and there is more mould in the showers and floors in the washrooms than anyone should expect! I can't say much about the staff - because there are none. A girl at the front, a manager that should NOT be managing a gym or fitness centre, and the occasional cleaner in the morning. Thats it. The afternoon crowd - after 4pm - are just a bunch of rude and arrogant juice heads that leave all their weights lying around, and refuse to clean up after themselves. With the options available within a 2 minute drive from the place - LA Fitness on Eglinton, or Fit 4 Less on Eglinton - you'd be in better hands and better conditions for less money at either of these 2 places. That along with the fact that both of the other facilities maintain their equipment and it's all in working order, makes it an easy choice for anyone. If this place is going to stay in business, the owner or whoever runs the place is going to have to do some major investment into some equipment, and maybe into the deteriorating ceiling which leaks when it rains. I went there for 1 month, and that was more than enough for me to know that this place is not a place for anyone to workout in - unless they enjoy working out in a dirty place, with most of the machines broken!

This gym is horrible! Under new management they no longer allow guest passes or trials of any sort. As a member I used to bring my friends who were just starting out to try out the gym for the first time and 3 of them actually signed up for a year. Now the only way they can get inside is if they pay $25 dollars for a day pass!! There is no other option! Every gym let's you try it out in order to know what you are getting yourself into but not Venice Fitness and that's probably to do with it's declining condition. 1.There has been a water leak from the ceiling for over a year so you can guess how much mold must be there. 2.They closed off their hot tub area by putting walls around it and too lazy to even remove the tub. 3. Closed off the girls only gym 4. Closed off the yoga studio 5. Got rid of all classes I would be surprised if this place isn't bankrupt soon by the way new management treats it's members and guests.

I recently switched from LA fitness to Venice and for the 5 months I have been a member, I have noticed nothing but good things. Very affordable membership, no sign up or "initiation fee" that LA fitness charges (which is really your cancellation fee that you are paying before your membership even starts) and no issues at all with billing thus far. The Venice staff are very attentive, and always greet me immediately as I walk through the door and when I leave. While signing up i felt that the manager did a fantastic job showing me the facility and addressing my personal needs first and foremost to see what wish to gain from excising at this facility. This made me comfortable right away. In my Opinion, this is one of the (if not THE) best gyms in the Scarborough area... well maintained, not to mention the abundance of workout machines and space they have in this deceivingly large gym! go in and see for yourself :)

Love that gym. Quiet, tons of.machines. I find out many if its users travel long distances to use this gem gym. I highly recommend it.
