Had a really excellent experience at The Snug Pub. I didn’t have high expectations for this pub within the hotel but it honestly delivered! I had the chicken and risotto main course. Chicken was tender, nicely seared. All the flavours were comforting and spot on. Service was friendly and genuine. The views are beautiful from the restaurant during the day but dark in the evening so you can’t see the ocean at that point. Cocktails also exceeded expectations. Appreciate the use of local distilleries. Thanks for the lovely meal and drinks, will be back!
Snug Pub is located inside the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. We stopped for a little dessert and cocktails after exploring Victoria. The hotel itself is gorgeous, with picturesque views of the water and mountains. If you get there after “busy” hours it’s easier to walk in and snag a spot outside. The service was excellent! Ordered a creme brûlée to share, and a lemon drop and hot toddy. As the evening got cooler, they offered to turn the heat lamp on and brought out blankets. Next time, dinner.
The food in restaurant is decent and tasting really good. Service here is very good and considerable. The staffs try to make you feel as at home. It helps us refreshed and recharged from long trip. Highly recommend!
Nolan was amazing lead server and he knew his product really well, very knowledgable, and very entertaining. The food was so amazing fresh and delicious and good quality!
Had a wonderful time! From the moment we entered the hotel, we experienced a warm welcome by all of the staff. Would recommend going at noon and it starts to get busy after. Beautiful patio overlooking the water & pool. The bartender Ilker made our experience very special. Great place! We will be back!
Its got amazing veggie burger . Its one of the oldest nierbourhood pubs and has a nice views . Yup they got outside patio with heaters

A bit pricey but the ambience and view are what makes it worthwhile. The $33 dollar plate of seafood spaghetti was at best a $15 dollar meal. Despite that I shall return soon.
It’s a bit out of the way unless you’re staying at the hotel but this pub offers some of the best ocean views you’ll find in Victoria. I’ve dined her a handful of times now and always been pleased with the service and quality of the food. Like most of the fancier pubs in town you can expect to pay a fairly high price for both food and drinks but honestly the views are such a treat it’s still more than worth it in my opinion. They also have a good happy hour between 3 and 5 on weekdays.
5 out of 5! I could not fault the Snug Pub on any front. My beer was cold and refreshing. My martini was classically dry and biting! My meal, served on the outside patio, was a delicious, filling, and well proportioned serving. The location affords astonishing views out over the water as the sun sets late during summer. And then there was the best part: the staff! I imagine it is rare that the waiting staff are asked to confirm in one meal both the hotel check-out time and the what time zone Ulaanbaatar is in. The staff at the Snug Pub took all of this in their stride without batting an eye! If I lived locally, The Snug Pub would be a regular on my dining roster. Next time I am in the area, I will be heading back.
