Visited when our cruise ship was in Vancouver BC. I had a really nice IPA from Driftwood brewery. The bartender was very pleasant and helpful in getting what we wanted. My wife had a very nice pale ale, also from Driftwood brewing. The pub had an extensive number of beers on tap. The Çhurchill has loads of character we really enjoyed.
Stopped in for drinks, enjoyed the atmosphere, service was great. Wide variety of drinks on tap and mixes. Scotch options were decent. Price point was a bit high, but the experience and drinks were good enough to say I'll be going back. On the loud side, so if loud DJ music is not your thing. Music was mood setting for sure
Decent bar. I didn't like the vibe that much but the cocktails we tried were really good! They also have a great selection of Whiskey see the photo
Very nice modern ambience, fancy big tables chairs, lots of room . Excellent service, nice location .A wall selection of wines. Good selection of fruity beers must try !
I attended a coworkers birthday on Saturday night, our group was originally supposed to only be 10-12 people and turned out to be 20-25 people, while our group was probably crazy the hostess, Brittany i believe and our server tall and very tattooed unfortunately have forgotten her name were more then accommodating. Our server made sure to keep everyone’s order’s organized and was prompt with drinks and making sure we had what we needed. She was funny and very personable, asking people if they would like another of exactly what they were drinking when she did. What started as one table we spilled out to taking 4 tables close by and she absolutely knocked it out the park. Amazing selection on beers and loved the Raspberry Mojito i had. Definitely will be going again.
Loved the beet salad! Countless drink options. Korean wings were amazing, too! Unfortunately was there when the ceiling was falling from the crazy snowfall, otherwise would've stayed way longer! Take good care and best wishes
Spontaneous after-work bevies and dinner with Laurel. Tall tequila sour for both of us. She had the Crab Cakes for 16 Two crab cakes, fried golden brown, cilantro lime aioli. L reported she was satiated and she could really taste the crab.i was very happy... I had the salmon burger without the bun although there was a gluten-free bun options I passed. Service was friendly and engaging. We will return. Sorry no pictures this time.
Hands down our favourite Victoria pub, unobtrusive but attentive service, excellent and well rounded tap list, Turner Classic movies and Seattle-esque atmosphere. Also, some mean drink mixing, thanks for the excellent dry Martini's.
Happy it re-opened, and with a larger space. Always friendly folks at the bar and a huge selection. Bring back the kettle chips!
Hit and miss, especially with the music atmosphere. First visit, evening, the music sounded so strange, like it was playing only half the track of 2 songs at the same time. Actually left without ordering since it was so ear boggling I couldn't stay. Second attempt was good, during early evening, had some nice mixed drinks, snacks and beer selection was great. Bartender was great. My husband took our son for the great beer on tap selection and was happy. Went again, later on a Fri evening. Music and treble was so high we couldn't hear each other talk. My mixed drink was tasty but we went elsewhere for a second drink due to music. The crowd there is on the more mature side so I'm not sure why they think loud is cool for here? The charcuterie was small and not very interesting for $21. Olives were good. We may try again early in the evening for drinks due to beer selection. Sadly, the mixed drink selection has been downsized since we were there and not as extensive as online menu shows which is too bad. Alot of interesting things on there! Not sure why they were removed, the liquor is well stocked here for selection. I think a sound check and/or new sound system is in order...
