Had a Reuben that I enjoyed. I had fries too, which were good. Food came hot. No pickle and no extra mustard was served but it was still good. I ended up being ok after so didn’t ask for any. I could taste the oil for the first few fries but it went away after. Hubs had an order of wings and a burger. I tried a wing, not overly stove hot but ok. Tasted the oil, so didn’t dig in for more. Hubs appreciated the burger being hot and the lettuce/tomato being cold. I thought the patty was a very very generous size. No pics of that. Service with our waitress was great. Will go again.
Stopped in before exploring the Cemetery. Great atmosphere, excellent food, awesome service. : will stop here again. Prices quite reasonable.
I had the meatloaf dinner served with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies today at lunch time. It was excellent! A big enough serving for two meals for this senior. I added a side of gravy and it arrived piping hot. At home I looked to see if they deliver through Door Dash or Skip the Dishes but unfortunately they do not... I guess I will just have to visit again! :
Had late lunch at the Ross Bay Pub today January 4. We were driving by and I suggested we stop for a bite here. We went in seated ourselves and ordered wine and Race Rocks beer from the waitress. And then we waited…. TikTok.. TikTok. Waitress and bartender busy talking to everyone else. Finally my wife says she saw the bar tender filling a pint from a pitcher and then gives it a quick shot from the beer dispenser to create a head. The waitress brings it to our table and I ask her “ did he fill my beer from a pitcher under the counter?” “Oh! I don’t know” she replies and walks away. It’s late, I’m hungry, we wait. Should we leave? Food arrives. We are sharing. Extra plate, extra utensils, but food not cut into two portions. We cut, We eat. Fries are excellent. Philly Cheese is average. The water never arrives. We finish, we wait. Finally our enthusiastic waitress arrives and we ask for the bill. We pay. We leave. Never to return! Rating reflects flat under the counter beer and service level.
I had lunch here in Sept. ‘22. Beer, Cobb Salad, coffee. My first few sips of the beer were awful, way too sour, so I pushed it to the other side of the table and got on with my lunch. The waitress must have gone by me a dozen times and never once asked if there was a problem. Eventually she brought the bill with the beer on it. I am so frustrated that wait staff don’t seem to care if your meal is edible or not. The Cobb salad and coffee were excellent.
The best part is I can bring my dog just a little guy onto the outside garden area. Food is good, not great, but enjoyable. Great beer selection and great service. Average pricing these days.
Very nice waitress, libation and food. My visit was on the day the Queen died and we raised a toast to her...Pims. It was an unusual day and I truely cannot remember what I ordered but it was very good...Located close to Government house, it seemed the perfect place to be. My previous visits to the pub were filled with happier memories.
Was there a week or so ago and probably had my worst experience in a pub. Asked to swap the charbroiled chicken for their deep fried chicken and was denied due to it being "too busy"....um kinda doesn't make sense that you're too busy to make something that's already on your menu...oh and when you give someone bad news like that could you do it without the big smile on your face...weren't smiling when you noticed no tip...big zero's for this experience!
Great food, refreshing drinks, and friendly staff. Definitely worth going, plus they have the best wings in town Recently they have reduced their menu but kept all the best things so still a quality spot to go.
Great food, great atmosphere, and fast service. Would recommend if you are in the area and looking for a place to watch sports or having a casual drink.
