Yates Street Taphouse

Went there to watch the second half of World Cup final. It was very crowded but they still had a few tables to accommodate us. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. We ordered Chorizo & Egg Taco and Eggs&toast. Our server, Elaine, was really nice and helpful. She helped to change the food a bit. They did not have any deserts in their morning menu, since we craved some sweet stuff she managed to serve us chocolate truffle cake which was nice. Pleasant experience.

Service was friendly and had a nice casual atmosphere. Important to note that the happy hour menu listed on their website is NOT the happy hour menu you are given in-person! It seems they also now have Taco Tuesdays, so all of the tacos were 3.50ea. Good value at that price, but I imagine I would have been underwhelmed had I paid full menu price

Came here last Thursday and everyone was so friendly. There were 2 people at the host desk that were very nice. I sat at the bar and the bartender was really nice. I think there was a shift change happening at some point and the next bartender I got was super friendly and helpful as well. I got his awesome recommendation on a really tasty sour beer and I asked his recommendation on a good patio to check out. I would definitely come back here.

I have now visited this place so many times that I can leave a solid review about it. In my heart this place is the true definition of a 4 experience. Beer selection, solid, nothing fancy, you gonna find something you like for sure. Are you going to find that special beer you've been looking for? Most likely not. Food, solid. Whenever we are in a big group with multiple dietary restrictions, we come here as we can always find something for everyone. Yet none of the menu items alone stand out as the best in town for their category. Service, solid. This of course changes depending on the server, how busy the place is and/or if there's an event going on. But overall I had 95%+ positive experiences. Yet none of them truly memorable. A big thing they get is different nights for events, like sports events, trivia night and others things of the sort.

One of the worst service we have ever received in any bar in Victoria. The server was very mean and we hard time to speak to her regarding the menu. Her attitude was the same for the guys sitting at the next table too. Clearly can't understand why this place hires serves like this. Beer options are more and tastes good. Food was average. Limited street parking is available, and the place is busy on weekends.

The vibe is great there, lots of TVs, good beers, and good prices. I’ve been here about 5 times and the recurrent theme is the terrible service at the tables. Drinks are often forgotten or we have to wait 20 minutes from the time we order a beer. It’s definitely not always the staffs fault, I think they could use more waiters. If you go here, sit at the bar and you should have a good time. The food and beer are good for the price! Don’t order the wings though, they taste quite bad.

Good service. Fair prices for this economy. Steak bites were overdone. Mac and cheese seemed like it came from a box. Irish red ale is included in happy hour and is very delicious.

I've been here a couple times. It's a cool pub. Great place to watch sports and friendly accommodating staff. The food, however, is quite lackluster. The burger was not good at all, super overcooked. Same with the fries. Go for the drinks and TV, skip the food.

Great venue with lots going on! They host very fun trivia , music bingo, and sporting events. They have delicious specials and an incredibly friendly bar staff.Food: 4/5

Went there for the world cup events. Amazing service and great TVs. Beer was good and it was a really fun place to be. Hope to be back for a pint soon.Food: 3/5
