The Starbucks upstairs was too crowded, so we dropped in for a quick snack during happy hour. Local draft is good. Food selection is limited but reasonably priced. Some staff are really friendly but others aren’t so much. Understandable given its tourism location. Well at least you don’t need to wait for too long to get a table and enjoy!
What a great place to grab a beer, watch some sports and eat some good grub. The waitress were friendly even though they looked incredibly but they didn’t miss a chance to check on you. I really like the happy hour menu. Got to go check it out for yourself!
Super convenient location to the harbor. Mix of tourists and locals. One of the few places down by the harbor that stays open later hours. Staff is attentive. Prices are average and menu is large enough for most to find something interesting. This is the best alternative to all of the hotel bars in Victoria in terms of value for your money.
Absolutely delicious. A great mix of English pub vibes and classic favorites with fresh ingredients. We all loved what we ordered but the Humboldt squid was a stand out
Decent place. Food and drinks were good, although a little over priced. It's below the DoubleTree hotel so you can take the elevator down if you're staying there, otherwise it has a street entrance. We had 2 appetizers, an entree salad, dessert, and 1 alcoholic drink. Total was $83 before tip. They did have an extensive gin list.
Old English pub and gaining ground in the cocktail world. Impressive 3 page gin list, with some unique and hard-to-find gins. Some of the bartenders are knowledgeable and want to nerd out about gins/cocktails, which is fantastic. They were attentive and service was good. As a young woman sitting in a bar by myself, I felt safe in this bar and had a great time.
We went to Bartholomew’s on a Thursday night when they had a musical bingo going on. We weren't there from the beginning to participate, nevertheless enjoyed the music and the vibe. As for food and drinks, I only tried nachos which was reasonable, and my cocktail was pretty good. Our server was also super nice. It was an enjoyable experience overall.
Warm and friendly local Victoria pub downtown. Good happy hour snacks & drinks and fun Tuesday night trivia .
What a gem. An expected pub experience. We were walking back to our hotel and saw a happy hour sign. We popped in and enjoyed the the house white wine and sparkling, at $5.75 a glass and the house-made chip and French onion dip for $7. What an incredible deal! Service was great, from being seated to taking our order and checking in on what we ordered. Highly recommend. That dip though. Get the dip. Get the house-made chips and French onion dip.
We went on a Monday night, it was delicious. Both main meal and dessert. Not loud, not busy, an old rustic place with great food. The waitress was on the ball and ensured we always had a full drink. Would definitely recommend this place.
