I don't know anything about The Rockshop, as I've never been in there. was just looking at music stores on google, but I read the review below me Veronica Gurdian, taking a kid into a music store with a drink or food item sounds like a really stupid idea to me. Those pianos are not free and and no one wants food or drink marks on a new piano. You could go down to Giovanni Music or Long & McQuade and guess what would happen. This life lesson is called common sense! I don't know any music store that would like you bring in food and drinks

Horrible service. My nephew and 7 year old son went in and my son put his drink on one of the pianos. The worker yelled at them and told them to get the hell out. When they told me what happened I went to go speak with him. He first told me he never said to get the hell out but when my nephew confronted him, he said fine I said that. I explained to him that I understood that my son shouldn't have put his drink on the piano but that there are other ways to say it. I also told him that he could have a sign that says please no food or drinks at the front entrance, as I have seen at other stores. He said he has thousands of signs on his walls and no one cares to read them. He then said that he has to deal with this all day and have teenagers just come in and make a mess out of things. He said if I would have come into the store and pay the 4,000 if my son had damaged the piano. I said this clearly isn't the case here and nothing was damaged. Again, I told him that they are children and you don't need to speak to them in that manner. Especially being customers, customers should be treated with respect. I said you are the adult here, you should know how to handle these situations with control and not take your anger out on kids. He then told me that I'm not accepting his apology and said I had no idea how expensive these instruments are. I told him I am completely aware of the cost as my entire family are musicians. I said that I would never come back, nor by anything, and let everyone know how this store treats their customers. He said he didn't care if I didn't came back nor if I told everyone not to go there. I have never dealt with such an arrogant worker. If there was an option to have 0 stars I would have rated it that.

Poor selection and overpriced compared to competitors. Quite laughable that you aren't allowed to try out the "fragile" instruments considering none of them are really high end. Go to LM where they have better selection and prices. The staff will let you try out whatever you want for as long as you like.

Normally great, sometimes busy. Went in today, asked for baritone ukulele strings, she gave me tenor strings.

Mediocre selection. Horrible staff. They groan when you ask to play an instrument and give only a matter of minutes to try them.
