Sherwin-Williams Paint Store

I went to this location of Sherwin-Williams today to get paint to do touch ups in my home and experienced the worst customer service ever! I brought a small swatch of the existing colour to match, and what I thought was the paint code with me for reference. Unfortunately, the code I was given did not match the sample I had, and the sales representative, Jana, said the sample was too small to colour match off of. I mentioned that Home Depot provided a colour match on a similar sized sample. No further assistance was offered, and the sales associated started talking to another person who I assume was a contractor in the store. With no help, I opted to try to match the sample from their colour swatches on the wall unsuccessfully. The sales representative and contractor then proceeded to have a loud conversation mocking me for having gone to Home Depot for paint, comparing it to going to McDonalds for a steak. Considering the recent increase in minimum wage in Alberta, if I was the owner of this store I wouldn't hesitate to start looking for sales associated who actually care to offer assistance to customers in the store.

As we(me and my girlfriend) are doing a basement build, we needed paint and the color I found was part of the sherwin Williams collection. We headed there to get the paint where we had a horrible experience. The short haired lady at the counter basically talked us out of getting this brand as the paint in her words is low quality unless we want to spend over a hundred dollars a gallon. I’m not sure if they work on commission but that’s a horrible way to make a sale. When we asked differences between the lines of product she constantly would make remarks and then contradict the very things she was saying. The basic product knowledge was very lacking. She was rude, quite frankly disrespectful and forced us to go down the road to dulux and get extremely better service. I wasn’t able to get the color I want but they were way more helpful. In short: great colours, but the service made us leave.
