The Hospital for Sick Children

We visited the SickKids Hospital Cardiac Clinic and had a very positive experience overall. We had to travel nearly two hours to get there and arrived about 45 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment. Despite being early, the staff were incredibly accommodating and quickly arranged for the echo and ECG tests to be done right away, which saved us a lot of waiting later.nnThere was a bit of a delay in seeing the doctor. In fact, it was even a bit later than our original appointment time but we understand that specialists like cardiac doctors can be very busy, and we truly appreciate the time they dedicate to each patient. Once we did meet the doctor, the consultation was thorough, informative, and reassuring.nnThe staff were kind, professional, and efficient throughout the visit. The clinic environment is clean, organized, and very child-friendly, which helped ease any stress or anxiety. In and out, it was a smooth process and worth the long drive. We’re grateful for the care and attention we received and would definitely recommend this clinic to other families seeking pediatric cardiac care.nnA truly positive experience at one of the best hospitals for children in Ontario.

SickKids Hospital is truly exceptional! From the moment you step inside, you can see how clean and organized every corner is. The level of care and responsibility they show is unmatched. The hospital is so large and well-equipped, it feels like an entire city dedicated to healing and hope. Every staff member we encountered was professional, compassionate, and went above and beyond to provide top-notch care. Their state-of-the-art facilities and attention to detail make it clear that this hospital is committed to excellence. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a world-class institution.

This world-class facility is the best for specialized treatment and care for kids. The state of the art care facility is 'research-intensive' for complex pediatric treatment. Well qualified and friendly doctors, caring nurses, and staff, calm and welcoming kid friendly environment - all make this establishment the best of the best. It also has a nice food court in the atrium with a couple of common fast food franchis, Cafe, Sushi etc and adequate underground parking lot.

SickKids is an incredible hospital, and I’m deeply grateful for the care they provided in saving my newborn. The NICU nurses were exceptional—offering one-on-one attention and keeping us updated daily on our baby’s condition. I will always be thankful for their dedication and compassion.nnA heartfelt thanks also goes to the Lactation Department, especially Laura and Sam. Laura reached out to me, arranged for a hospital-grade pump, and encouraged me to pump 8 to 12 times a day. Sam guided me through effective pumping techniques and shared helpful tips to improve milk flow. Thanks to their support, I successfully completed four months of pumping, and I’m so thankful that my baby is healthy and thriving on the growth chart.nnI also want to express my appreciation to the thoughtful social worker who gently explained to my older child why her baby brother was in the hospital. She did it in such a kind and child-friendly way, making sure it wasn’t scary for her to see him with all the medical equipment. They even gave her a teddy bear and told her she could send love and messages to her brother through it—such a sweet and meaningful gesture.nnWe’ll always remember the care, kindness, and support we received. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
