I wish there's more Carol in this world that cares and loves her work. She is a clean...
I have countless words to express my extreme disappointment of the healthcare conducted at this hospital. CAMH has a habit of admitting people in the emergency and quickly discharging them especially those who are in crisis and others in extreme safety and dangerous situations. Despite their mental health state they are kicked out on the streets without any further support. At the same time informing families wrongly and lying to them about their offer to support the patient and family. I have a really close person I know who has a mental health condition yet CAMH did not care or have a heart to help him in his worst state of mind. They left him and his family extremely stressed and desperate in search for help from the system itself. CAMH did not follow their protocol properly and discharged the person I know without returning his medications and his health card which is a really Bad and unacceptable thing to do. They also never followed up with the family accordingly and never took the situation seriously. CAMH emergency manipulated the patient to get rid of him so they don't have to deal with him despite the safety concerns communicated to them. CAMH is responsible for their negligent administration and service to the family and the patient and this applies to many others that have a similar experience as this one. I am voicing out for all those families and loved ones having a difficult time accessing the right treatment for their loved one in need. CAMH is not an institution I recommend from experience if anyone is trying to find proper support and treatment. This hospital has the most money investment yet only keeping the money in their pockets without properly investing and applying QUALITY healthcare and improving our mental healthcare system. This message also goes to the Minister of Health and Long Term Care.

And CAMH has let me down again. I have been here for my own mental health and was treated so poorly. Not only have they forgotten to give me my things back and go through my bag without my permission, but they made me sleep on a dingy matress on the floor. Now, visiting someone, they have no record that there is such a person here (there is, I know) but theu refuse to let me see them because they cannot get someone to check my bag. Please, save yourself hassel. Go somewhere else.

Another world completely. Saying it's a 'mad house' would be an understatement. Once thru the gate one soon realizes one may never be let out. But perhaps that's best. Journey to the land of sandwiches and pills. In between try not to mind 'that guy'. Rediscover yourself and freedom may be yours, but only if the Doctor behind the glass gives you the key. A chance for healing and an epic journey guaranteed. If you dare. And Buddy up. Needs a new building and far more accessible outdoor space.

Nurses are overworked and show their displeasure (and sometimes take it out on) their patients. The patients are left to distract themselves with each other and that is really not healthy. Maybe they should use that donation money to improve the conditions for the ones that matter. And get more counselors, they do the real heavy lifting (the doctors are generally pompous) It's also really cold in the college Street location.

Traumatizing Uncaring and Unprofessional people. I recommend paying privately if you truly need help.
