Humber River Hospital

You would think coming into such a nice hospital you would get the attention and care you need in a timely matter. Came in with my dad at 10:30pm last night and were still sitting here 6 hours later after my dad got blood work done and a x-ray. The blood work was done within the first hour , it should not take 6 hours for a doctor to come and let us know what's happening with my dad and if they'll be keeping him for a day or 2. It's not right not right at!!!! Nobody should have to sit here for 6 hours with no answers not knowing what's happening especially when it's a week day and there's barely any doctors around or in site it's almost 6am and still no doctor has come to tell us anything.

Worst hospital ever!!!!! Been here since 3pm went from one waiting room to another waiting room.10pm and I am still waiting for someone to do testing. I have been in the room for an hour and nothing. The doctor wouldn't let me talk clearly just kept correcting me like he has an idea on how i feel. I am starving, tired and just want to know what is wrong. They need to be faster and better at what they do. What a useless hospital!

Worst hospital I have ever been too. Was in fast track and it still took over 8 hrs to see a doctor. The staff is unprofessional and rude and there was only 1 doctor working there on the Saturday I went. I waited in agonizing pain for 8 hrs. Horrible, horrible hospital. If I could give this hospital -1 stars, I would. I definitely don’t recommend going to this hospital if you are in severe pain. You might as well die waiting for assistance. Never been so disgusted by human beings and a place that is intended to assist those in need of medical attention. Humber River Hospital sucks!!! Truly trash!!

I lost my grandmother yesterday at this hospital. It's been a hard 24 hours but the staff have been incredible. The nurses were amazing and so compassionate. They made sure my family was comfortable and they mourned with us. They gave us all the time we needed to say our goodbyes, and made sure we were comfortable (water, Kleenex, extra chairs and plenty of hugs). The doctors came by to give us their condolences, and even the cleaning lady and the patients next door offered their deepest sympathies. My grandmother was a force to be reckoned with and she touched the lives of so many people. Her death seems to have rallied a community together. I am forever grateful for everyone who cared for her during her final moments, and then took care of us as we come to terms with this loss.

My 88 year old mother is here and the whole staff has been very helpful, but the person that want to talk about is a very special nurse. Her name is Andrea Ryan and her dedication, compassion and her smile is what makes a difference in mine and my mother’s life right now. She goes behond doing her job, she loves and it shows. She is a rock star!! Everybody ounce in their lifetime needs an Andrea Ryan and i feel very lucky that i got mine!
