While the doctors and nurses at Mount Sinai Hospital are undoubtedly dedicated and professional, the facility itself is in serious need of improvement. During our time in the labor and delivery unit, the condition of the room was disappointing—ceiling tiles were stained, and parts of the room seemed to be falling apart. Cleanliness was not up to standard, which is the last thing you want to experience when welcoming a newborn. The hospital’s medical care is top-notch, but the state of the facility needs attention.

Mount Sinai, I am deeply disappointed to see two of your security guards standing outside in freezing temperatures, exposed to the harsh elements. As an institution that receives millions in government funding and generous donations from donors, it is concerning that you have not invested in a basic shelter or guardhouse to ensure the health safety. While the need for visible security is understandable, providing adequate facilities for your personnel should be a priority. This lack of consideration reflects poorly on an organization of your stature.

The evening of November 18, 2024we had to bring my husband to emergency and were so impressed by the kindness of the head nurse Danial Silver. The emergency was busy and had several patients less fortunate than ourselves who also needed care and we watched Danial Silver being so empathetic to everyone from all walks of life. It was amazing to see how orderly and kind he was.nThank you Nurse Danial Silver.
