I want to commend the emergency department staffs; they've done a good job from this morning until now… I especially want to thank the nursing team, particularly Cheryl P. She was incredibly friendly, patient, professional, and efficient, helping my husband reduced his extreme pain and preparing a bed for him so he could wait comfortably for the doctor. Of course, we did have to wait, but not too long—about two and a half hours after arrival.nI'm so glad I had such a great experience in the emergency department this morning; they helped reduce stress and anxiety for patients and their family members…..nThank you so much
Can’t get any better care than here in the east.nYes mental health could use some more work but the medical staff from the porters to the physicians are amazing.nMy nurses on T6 have been amazing and they do everything they can to make sure I am okay. I have spent the last 2 months with them and I wouldn’t want anyone else. You can feel the care as they want to be here.nHaving my own space which includes a shower in my bathroom is very nice and if you can you can take a shower before bed every night or whenever you feel like it which is nice.nThere is also a couch which turns into a bed.nMy only complaint about this hospital is the food is extra gross. Every single day I am offered scrambled eggs and cheese with a cereal. I miss peds hospitals that did room service delivery. Mind you the gift shop at Sunnybrook does this, Maybe they can do it here.nThe other thing I would like to see change is that the doctor that is in charge actually sees me regularly not just his/her residents/ fellows every day, sometimes not.nPS I suggest art or better yet TVs on the white walls in the patient rooms as it’s just depressing to look at a white wall and the nice wood and teal is behind or heads. The other thing that would make it less “sterile” is the ceiling tile art like in the ER.nI hope this review helps both the hospital and the community.nnI highly recommend it over any other of the hospitals in east Toronto.nnIt’s very Clean too.
Had an MRI for my daughter there and Joanne was INCREDIBLE at booking us in quickly, and when we showed up for our appointment we were taken in early! Fast, efficient, professional the young man that was the technician that evening was professional and helped put my daughter at ease, he was fantastic!. My only 'negative' is that the wait for the results/report is NOT fast and there is no communication as to when we might get that report which is frustrating.
I have never had a better emergency room experience.nI went in at the behest of a clinic, for an infection.nI walked in 4pm on a Tuesday. They performed a minor back surgery, I walked out at 6 pm that same day. Everyone was great, I don't know how it could have been handled better!
Abscess Requiring Urgent Incision and DrainagennI was suffering from a fistula and was in extreme pain for almost eight weeks. The pain was unbearable, and despite visiting several doctors multiple times — including two visits to a walk-in clinic and three visits to the emergency department — I couldn’t find a permanent solution. I tried many medications and ointments, but nothing provided lasting relief.nnLater, I consulted Dr. Ashfaq Khan, who treated me very well. I visited him four times, and although the pain would reduce temporarily, the problem persisted. He then referred me to the emergency department at Michael Garron Hospital MGH.nnFrom the moment I entered the hospital — from registration and general check-up to ECG, surgical consultation, the operation, and finally discharge — every staff member treated me with great care and professionalism. After my discharge, the home care team also visited me regularly for dressing, for which I am very thankful.nnI would especially like to express my heartfelt gratitude to my surgeon, Dr. Nadia Khan, who truly understood my pain and performed a painless and successful surgery. I am extremely satisfied and thankful to her from the bottom of my heart.nnI highly recommend Michael Garron Hospital to anyone who needs medical care. The entire team is dedicated, compassionate, and professional.
