Can’t get any better care than here in the east.nYes mental health could use some more work but the medical staff from the porters to the physicians are amazing.nMy nurses on T6 have been amazing and they do everything they can to make sure I am okay. I have spent the last 2 months with them and I wouldn’t want anyone else. You can feel the care as they want to be here.nHaving my own space which includes a shower in my bathroom is very nice and if you can you can take a shower before bed every night or whenever you feel like it which is nice.nThere is also a couch which turns into a bed.nMy only complaint about this hospital is the food is extra gross. Every single day I am offered scrambled eggs and cheese with a cereal. I miss peds hospitals that did room service delivery. Mind you the gift shop at Sunnybrook does this, Maybe they can do it here.nThe other thing I would like to see change is that the doctor that is in charge actually sees me regularly not just his/her residents/ fellows every day, sometimes not.nPS I suggest art or better yet TVs on the white walls in the patient rooms as it’s just depressing to look at a white wall and the nice wood and teal is behind or heads. The other thing that would make it less “sterile” is the ceiling tile art like in the ER.nI hope this review helps both the hospital and the community.nnI highly recommend it over any other of the hospitals in east Toronto.nnIt’s very Clean too.
We checked in my mother to the ER and then to the new ward for further care.nnI grew up in East York and Toronto East General now Michael Garron have always provided exceptional services and care.nnEvery doctor and nurse has always been diligent and knowledgeable serving us well.nnThe new ward is refreshing and exciting and really elevate the level patient experience. Thank you to everyone here.
I’ve consistently had a great experience at this hospital. The staff are always pleasant, helpful, and efficient, making visits smooth and hassle-free. Most of the time, I’m in and out quickly, which is a rarity in many hospitals. My doctor is exceptional, and the nurses, residents, and students all demonstrate incredible professionalism and care. Compared to other hospitals in Toronto, especially in recent years, this one truly stands out for its excellent service and patient-centered approach.
I can't believe how ridiculous this hospital is. In order to get more patients they have waiting time as 2 hours on their website but in reality the wait time is 7 hours. Unless you want your whole day wasted do not come here or trust the website about their times. I waited 4 hours and got absolutely frustrated and left because they said I had to wait 7 more hours even though 8 more people came after me. I fell off a slope and hit a tree into my back and the situation was very serious but they seemed to not care at all. Honestly if it's possible to wait out till the next day I would recommend a family doctor because by the time they see you it will be almost a whole day anyway. I don't understand how this place has any half decent reviews at all. I left this bull of a place and went to Toronto General and got in within the first 2.5 hours. I would tell everyone to steer clear of this place if you value your time and your life. The staff is also so incompetent as I was leaving she cut my bracelet with scissors and ended up cutting my wrist and well.
Had a hysterectomy here this morning and every single staff member I came across was absolutely amazing despite the post op nurses being spread incredibly thin!nEach nurse was handling FOUR !! patients each in an incredibly loud and chaotic environment plus construction and I applaud them for not taking their frustration out on any patients. They either need to be paid more for their workload or have more staff on hand to ensure there is proper time for every patient in recovery. Or both!nnStaff - 11/10nWhoever decided the appropriate max workload per staff member - 1/10nnThank you to everyone who took such great care of me today! I'm still in quite a bit of pain but that's just the consequence of removing one of your organs
