I had a very positive C-section experience at SMH. All the doctors and nurses, especially Dr. Tatiana, were incredibly empathetic and personable. They consistently checked in on me and made me feel completely supported throughout the procedure and my recovery.nThe hospital's breastfeeding classes were truly life-changing. I had doubts about whether I could breastfeed, but their guidance and recommendations gave me the confidence and knowledge to do it correctly. They were also very attentive to my baby, ensuring her health and teaching me essential care skills.nThe semi-private room was a bit of a challenge—it was small, and my comfort depended on the other mom in the room. Still, given the high quality of care I received, I would absolutely choose this hospital again for a future pregnancy.
The worst experience in my life. I went there to get help and got an infection that almost killed me. It is a place I would not recommend to anyone. I had to buy my own dinner and breakfast while I was there. I feel so bad for the nurses. They seem to be very stretched out and when you need someone there's no one available.nDurning one of the stays at St Michael's I was there for 10 days. Not once did anyone ask me if I wanted a shower or help with a shower. 10 days and no one asked if I wanted my bed sheets changed. I was blown away with the way this place is running. I had no idea how common operating rooms infectious were. I had to have surgery to get a break in my arm fixed. Then I had to have four additional surgeries to get the infection cleaned out. So that's 5 surgeries in seven or eight months. Not fun!nThe whole experience was a complete disaster. It's not a very comforting place at all. But it is what we have and I am thankful just really concerned with the process. This hospital needs help. The treatment I received was disgusting .
I went to St. Michael’s ER after an at home accident left me with a deep gash on my leg. Dr. Bryan Au was calm and professional from the start, explaining each step while cleaning and stitching the wound. He made sure the area was fully numbed and kept me at ease the whole time.nnThe stitches were precise and tidy, and he walked me through after-care so I’d heal properly and avoid infection. The scar is already healing better than I expected.nnHuge thanks to Dr. Au and the ER staff for their quick, skilled, and compassionate care.
Worst place to go if you need immediate or urgent medical assistance and or emergency medical help. I took my wife to the hospital directly from Pearson International Hospital due to severe and acute UTI, the initial check in staff were highly rude and insensitive towards each and every patient sitting there to call their names for registration, the staff were making fun and humiliating the patients with very humiliating remarks like the male nurse said to a Chinese girl in front of me who came with short breathing and pain complaints that your breathing is far normal than mine.. saw the same male nurse humiliating an over 80 rear old lady who said you don’t know whats going in my body right now. . My wife was shifted to Acute waiting area after initial 2 hours of waiting , In ACUTE waiting area she was shifted in a room after approximately another 2 hours. ., 1:30 am to 6:30 am I checked many times with the nurse at Section C about Doctor’s visit and or any treatment for my wife, I was told to wait as the staff can not share any information about what time Dr will come to see her, she goes on and said an hour , 2 hours or six more hours depends when Doctor shows up.. To be honest it was nightmare for us and as a Calgarian we are not used to suffer in hospitals in Alberta, The hospital staff, Doctors and paramedic in Alberta are real human beings and compassionate . They provide immediate care and attention to their patients.nnLastly avoid St Micheals and save your loved ones from suffering in misery
I recently visited the ENT clinic and was seen by Dr. Molly. She was extremely helpful, thorough, and clear throughout the assessment. She took the time to explain everything in detail and suggested the most suitable treatment options. I truly appreciated her professionalism and care.
