Zarak by Afghan Kitchen

As a vegetarian, I LOVED the food.nGot the vegan meatballs, cabbage dumplings and boolani. All 3 dishes were cooked perfectly with all spices and flavors balanced. It was a truly filling meal and loved the atmosphere and service along with it.nHighly recommend the “mother’s secret” tres leches. The cake is one of my favorite - not too sweet, sponge like and juicy when you bite into it.nnLoved this restaurant and 100% coming back for special occasions.

One of the best brunches I’ve had in a long time.nnGreat variety on their menu, interesting cocktails/mocktails, and a nice bright but intimate atmosphere. Make sure to book a weekend reservation because it can get packed.nnTheir other restaurant in South Surrey is also fantastic and I hope they offer a weekend brunch soon too!

This place is phenomenal! They really know how to make a good lamb, if you like lamb, this place is awesome!nnThey have super creative cocktails and I wish I could have tried more of them.nnThe silk rice was exactly that, the best rice I’ve ever had! Prices are very decent and the portions are massive!nnDefinitely get a reservation here because it’s busy and for good reason. This is a great restaurant and one that’s worth the visit.

This place is seriously incredible.nnThe food was delicious and nicely plated and the cocktails well balanced and unique.nnThe servers were also incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes and well equipped with recommendations on serving sizes/ingredients/etc.nnCan't wait to come back!

This place is not just great for date nights, it’s an amazing blessing for Vancouver.nnI was just clearing some photos out on my phone and realized I haven’t wrote a review about Zarak Afghan kitchen.nnThe ambience is intimate and welcoming. The staff is positive and friendly. Very professional. They also explain the food. They also address any concerns with allergies or religious dietary restrictions.nnThe food is incredibly flavourful and fresh. You can feel the labor and passion on each plate. Cheers to the owner. I wish you many happy years to come. I’m definitely coming for brunch.
