A good Can Fire as far as they go with helpful staff, fair pricing, short checkout lines, etc. The only downer was that the stores layout was very cramped with very tall shelves/narrow walkways, which makes it a bit difficult to get around on busy days. Other than that though it was great! P.S. I found something here that I didn't know existed: metal zip ties, neat eh?
Had to return something and made a mistake of using a different credit card for my refund. Amanda in customer service was kind enough to help me sort out the mistake I made and she did it with a smile on her face. Great customer service and definitely made my week. We need more people like her.
Worst Experience I have ever had with management. Store Manager Miller refuses to listen to customers, is not empathetic, and treats people with no respect. I went to return an OB2 scanner which I paid $330 for. When purchasing the item the sweet lady at the parts desk explained to me the cheap one I was trying to buy for $80 would not work on the used Porsche I was trying to buy. She also said I could not return the cheap one So I ended up buying their most expensive Scanner to ensure the car I was buying would be a safe purchase. The lady then took me to the parts service desk to pay with thr cashier. I asked him if I could return this and he said abosolutely as long as the receipt is there. When I went to purchase the car later that night it did not read the car or any of the engine codes displayed. I decided to buy the car anyway as it drove amazingly smooth. When I went to go return the code reader 5 days later and I tell Manager Miller what happened and his response "WERE NOT TAKING IT BACK ITS POLICY" HE then points to a TINY LITTLE PRINTED PIECE OF PAPER THAT SAYS NO RETURNS ON SCANNERS. THEN FUMES AWAY DOWN THE STORE. I head out the same direction and try to explain to him again my reason for returning this and he says "everyone has a story, why didn't u bring it back the next day?" Wort experience in the 29 years I've been alive on this planet and first time writing a bad Google review!!
Wow I was surprised by their great service at this store. The staff were so nice and genuine that you can even notice their positivity in their service.I would like take a name of the staff I was helped today is Hanna . She is very expert in her work , I was at store to buy skates .Had a great experience . Thank you to Hanna for helping me . She is a star of this store .
I stopped in 45 minutes before closing on New Year's Eve to pick up some gifts for my grandkids. Not a great selection at the end of boxing week, but I was able to find suitable items with good sale prices. Cleaning staff were beginning to sweep up around me but I ignored them and carried on with my shopping. I can usually find what I am looking for at this store, service is adequate if needed, and pricing is fair.
Edited to add follow up: After 3 WEEKS of not hearing ANYTHING from customer service, I have been told that my claim is denied. Although they cannot provide me with ANY proof that the original repair was actually needed, they apparently "can't find" the results of the original diagnostic, they refuse to admit they might have had any wrong doing. They did not do another diagnostic after these repairs to ensure that there weren't any underlying issues that they could not diagnose without it starting. Now my intermittent non-start issues are 100% non-start issues and they refuse to take any responsibility. This corporation is a joke and full of crooks. Do NOT use this Canadian Tire Automotive department, they are crooks! I wish I could give them 0 stars; they have horrendous customer service and incompetent mechanics. They took my husbands truck in for a problem with it not starting. They told us it was the starter and the alternator, and repaired some other minor issues while it was there; to the tune of $2100, which would have been $2400 had I not argued that they could not charge me for work I did not authorize. After we took it back, it started once when we left and then never again. After finally getting them to agree to look at it again for no cost, I had to get it towed back there 200km as my husband works out of town at my own cost. They finally figured out what was actually wrong with it, and now refuse to do any more work on it, or cover the cost for me to get it towed elsewhere. Although to their credit, they did finally reluctantly agree to reimburse me for the original tow. So now I am out $2100 and still have a truck that doesn't start. They are washing their hands of their incompetence and the service manager/store manager was incredibly ignorant about the whole thing and hung up on me. Now I have to pay someone else to fix this issue and have nothing to show for the $2100 I already spent. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone and will strongly encourage everyone I know to stay away from them.
VERY disappointed with long wait time for curbside pickup earlier today - at 10:30am, which isn't usually a busy time. I waited 20 minutes. Someone did call and let me know my order had been blocked in by a pallet, so that had to be moved. Why offer curbside pickup when you're not setup properly to deliver on it?!?! I will not be using this service again. I have options nearby that do a better job.
I came to their auto service, not once, not twice but FOUR times in which I had to either leave my car there over night or at least for the full day. I went to Canadian tire cause my engine light was on, and the reason I kept going back was because it would turn back on about an hour or two after I left each time. The second time I went back the front end desk associate literally told me there was nothing in the work order for an engine light and that they fixed an oil leak. The only reason I went in, was for the check engine light. And not only that I was charged $1350 for that service, in which they next gave me yet another bill for another $900, this is when I asked to speak to someone who could explain what all these charges were for. Richard was the manager that I dealt with and he did some digging to only find out that I was actually charged $999.99 for an oil change and that’s what was on the $1300 bill. Not to mention, the new $900 invoice included service for something that I had replaced in their store only less than a year prior, aka if the digging wasn’t done, they were just doing work on my car that didn’t not need to be done. When I came in for my refund, I was introduced as “that girl who paid $1000 for an oil change” and laughed at, when I thought I paid $1000 for them to fix the engine light problem. After this experience my check engine light came on yet again and I asked to speak with Richard, he promised he would take charge on this and make sure everything was done, properly, and 100% taken care of. I dropped my car off and the next day, not only did no one call me but no one called to fill me in or give me a new work order/invoice. After finally getting through to someone on the phone they also never answer the phones he had told me my invoice was pushed to the side and he wasn’t sure what was happening but Richard left early that day and I’d have to call in the morning. Aka, he did not stick around to make sure everything was okay with my vehicle after this huge ordeal. After making a fuzz, they found out my car was actually ready for pick up, just no one called me nor sent me an invoice to approve this work order and upon pick up, I was still charged $160 and no one came to speak to me nor apologize for anything. All in all, I will never return to Canadian tire again, will 100% never recommend to a friend and be sure to let everyone know about my horrible experience. 0/5 stars forsure!
Hubcaps. That’s all I needed from the automotive department today. I couldn’t decide which ones would look best with my vehicle, so Harjon invited me into the bay where he held each available style against my tires. Then, an equally fine young man, by the name of Conrad, popped the hubcaps on for me. Talk about getting the royal treatment! I won’t hesitate to return to this location. The manager clearly has a high standard for hiring professional and accommodating staff. Thank you gentlemen!
I am very pleased with my experience here. I came in for new spark plugs, they were very helpful and informed me about other issues that they came across and fixed them for a good price, I got my vehicle back better than I expected. I would highly recommend this establishment.
