The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto

Tanvir was the most amazing driver ever, and made our stay at the Ritz change from great to amazing. The club car was like butter. That alone made the club room worth it. Even for a one night stay, this was easily the best hotel experience of my life, and I’ve spent hundreds of nights in properties across the world.nnThe room was excellent—we were able to not only check in early, but our room was switched to the nicer corner room.nnMy first time staying at a Ritz property, and I can confidently say we WILL be coming back.nnWow!!!

Take what you see on social media and from influencers with a grain of salt… Currently staying here for a mini staycation babymoon with a toddler. We have stayed at the St. Regis Toronto and Ritz Carlton Montreal, both of which we loved, but we wanted to try something new of supposedly similar calibre. I remember St. Regis Toronto and Ritz Carlton Montreal contacting us day before check-in to see if there was a special occasion or to ask for my daughter’s name. St. Regis Toronto surprised my daughter with a complimentary Cuddle + Kind stuffed bunny, which came wrapped in a box, and provided us with a diaper pail without asking. Ritz Carlton Montreal surprised us with a cheesecake + bottle of sparkling wine and my daughter with kids’ bath toiletries and a stuffed toy with her name on it all complimentary without asking. I saw on social media Ritz Carlton Toronto doing in-room tent experiences for kids so thought surely, this hotel of supposedly similar calibre would make little ones feel special without asking. Nope. Every special “surprise” you see on social media for Ritz Carlton Toronto must be reserved and comes at a cost. That in-room tent experience for kids must be booked at least 48h in advance and is $230/child $70/additional child! They don’t go out of their way to make guests especially little ones feel special. It’s all reserved and at an additional cost. Nothing like St. Regis Toronto or Ritz Carlton Montreal. Maybe those two hotels are just exceptional and I was just expecting too much of Ritz Carlton Toronto? There was nothing specially for kids in our room. Spacious room but standard. Not what I expected from a Ritz Carlton.

We had the most unforgettable experience celebrating our dog Ceasers first birthday at The Ritz Carlton Toronto, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about the team especially Charles and Daryl. From start to finish, they went truly above and beyond to make this milestone so special. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, the surprises were incredibly sweet, and the level of care and accommodation we received was nothing short of immaculate. What could have been just a stay turned into a once in a lifetime memory for us. The warmth, professionalism, and genuine kindness shown made Ceasers first birthday feel so meaningful and celebrated. We are beyond grateful for the exceptional service and unforgettable experience. Thank you for making this such a beautiful and special moment, we will cherish it forever.
