A very enjoyable first visit. Came with friends who are regulars and we enjoyed a high quality Cantonese Hong Kong style cuisine dinner. I thought they were being a little extreme to show up at 4:50 p.m. but even at that time there were only two tables left and by 5:20 p.m., the lineup began. There's no doubt because their food is absolutely delicious. Of particular note, the absolutely blew my mind! The skin was so incredibly thin and crispy like Peking duck. It was literally the best I have ever experienced. All of the other dishes including the stir fried sea bass with celery and the pork neck meat stir fry were all incredibly well done. Highly recommended and will be back in the near future! My recommendation, show up early if you don't like to wait!
A good Restaurant in North Scarborough! Ordered two take out. Was taste good and friendly environment. Is a Small restaurant but a good customer service. Was a bit pack but fast food preparation. Hope I have more time to come in and dinner in too. Great food over here.
First time been to this restaurant last week. Small place with a few tables available now, perhaps due to cautions taken amid pandemic. The food is delicious, portion is big and price is relatively low in compare to others. Customer service is awesome and we got great suggestion from the server. One drawback is parking, a very small number of parking space is available outside.
Tasty. Very busy, call to reserve a table. FYI menus are in Chinese only, and different than on older posts. $88 combo, cash only: chicken feet soup bland + 2 lobsters fried with Maggie sauce is tasty + steamed tilapia very nice and smooth/‘wat’ but quite small + half a steamed free range chicken with ginger and onion good + cauliflower with thin ‘lap cheung’ slices ok + taro sago dessert soup thick Next time will try ordering dishes: shredded chicken, salted fish meat cake, and some were huge at other tables ‘tong choi’ + fried noodles
Their set meals are pretty cheap. We’ve dined in there before and it wasn’t bad. We had “5 cup duck” which everyone was a little disappointed as it was really blend and overly sweet. Other than that everything else was pretty good.
The $88 special crab dinner is pretty good for 4, but not enough for 6 people. The size of the crab is reasonable for this price. 6 prawns are also not too small. The other disks are chicken and vegetables with Chinese sausages. Good value.
The squabs are great albeit on the expensive side. But their other menu items and combos are very fairly priced. Overall taste a little too salty msg. Felt pretty thirsty afterwards. The service was great and very attentive. But there's not a lot of tables. Expect to wait.
October 2021 3.5 to about 4 This restaurant serves somewhat typical Cantonese/Chinese style food with their own twist on certain dishes. Atmosphere: lacking. Tables inside and patio outside is reminiscent of almost a fast food joint. Though on the inside, there's a nice wall of plaques which adds a bit of ambiance. It's ok, but your not here to enjoy the scenery. Food: it's pretty decent. The was very good. Strip's of seasoned chicken with a deep gangal ginger flavor. The is good, though typical of other restaurants. The was good, the flavors were very good, pork, dried shrimp, fried garlic, scallions and a bit of chili make the clams taste great. Only downside is I don't think it's fresh clams but frozen. The came in about 6 or 7 pieces. Tender and with the onion and black pepper sauce made this a little spicy and was a good combination. The which isn't on the menu, but they'll make whatever is typical, was done well. Desert was a coconut wild rice with taro and tapioca porridge. Again, better than most other restaurants and could be just as good as some dessert place. Not too sweet either. Honestly, the place isn't bad. If your here for some decent Chinese food that won't break the bank, it's pretty good. Good "wok hey" or stir fry flavor which is important in Chinese cuisine. Would recommend. Would come back.
I ordered for Chinese New Year 2022. The dishes and tastes are absolutely amazing.
