Yu Garden

Not as good as the one in Richmond Hill. The braised sweet pork belly portion here is small and the color was not appetizing. I tried the beef curry soup, the beef was really hard and dry. It was like cooked long time ago and just placed like a topping on the soup. But the rest of the orders were just fine. Serving per order was a bit small compared to other Chinese restaurants. The guy who took our order was very attentive and courteous. The ambiance is good.

Came here after a restaurant nearby was too busy. This place was clearly either new or recently renovated. There was only one man working the tables, orders and phone calls, which was fine considering the restaurant wasn’t busy. A lot of the dishes we wanted were apparently out of stock which was questionable and surprising. The waiter instead offered us other items on the menu; some of which were decent and others were just ok. The entire meal itself was pretty mediocre and overall service was good. Wouldn’t necessarily come back, but I wouldn’t be opposed if I had to.

Everyone orders the at this restaurant, so it's a must try. Besides that, the food is typical Shanghai dishes that are good overall, but nothing too special. Decor is classy and upscale. They only have one waiter, so service can be a little slow. I wanted to try their spring rolls, but they did not have them when I went.

The most terrible experience I've had in a long time. The food ranged from being okay to disappointing given the price. The waiter was not attentive and forgot to give us our set of plates and utensils. We also had to wait extra 30 mins for half of our ordered food when the table of 5 next to us got there later, finished ordering, and had all their entrees done. Finally, when we paid, the waiter tipped himself 20% before handing us the machine. We were shocked and returned to the main menu to set it back to no tip. When he saw the receipt, he asked us where his tip is, to which we decided to give him some cash. We always tip regardless of the service, but this is the first time someone demanded us of tip when the service was so terrible. Save your money and your time and don't go here.

We ordered xaiolongbao and pot stickers. Both are very good. Highly recommended. However, the other dishes were very disappointed. The Braised sweet pork belly and salty Soy Milk are both much below my expectations.

Service was fast and polite. Food was good tasty and hot. Wasn't too busy. Would go again. The Broccoli was fantastic and so was the Kung Pao Chicken!Food: 4/5

Don't know why there are 1 star reviews on here. The food was great! Very close to the quality in Shanghai been living in Shanghai for 20 years I've been here 3 weekends in a row. The service is excellent. The staff was friendly and kind. The beef noodle is worth a try!

Great food, good decor but the place does not look well kept and clean. Center tables stacked with take-out supplies, office equipment in the middle of everything. Plastic bags hang behind chair rest arms. Such a nice dining room that's also cluttered with back of the house supplies. Quite put off-ing.Food: 5/5

It was a nice surprise in a busy plaza. There’s a couple popular ayce bbq places and my friends and I planned to go to one but the wait times were between 45min and 3h so we went here on a whim since we were just super hungry. When we went it was empty on a Friday night. There were actually a couple things we wanted that weren’t ready yet since maybe it wasn’t busy all day, so we just went with the some of the recommendations made by the manager. I wasn’t expecting much due to those hiccups but what we got was really good. Some fried rice, xiaolongbao, chicken wings, braised beef noodles, fried pork. My only complain is that the chicken wings weren’t really seasoned and were kind of bland, they were huge wings though which was nice. Overall the prices were fair for what we received and I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the dishes were. The manager was super wholesome and considerate and seemed genuinely happy to see our empty dishes. Would gladly visit again when I’m in the neighbourhood again
