New May Hong Yuen BBQ

There's a tiny little Chinese BBQ shop in the north end of Scarborough, on McCowan Rd., called New May Hong Yuen BBQ. Their food is very good and their prices are very affordable. Their portions are HUGE! On this visit, I actually didn't get any BBQ meats. I know, that's kinda odd. I did, however, get a couple of their cooked dishes - Sweet and Sour Pork, and Chow Mein with Chicken. I was very surprised at how heavy the containers were. They were both jam packed with food! There was easily enough for four adult servings. This turned out to be a great deal, all for under $15! I will definitely be back...

It was my first time buying Chinese bbq from here. The staff were friendly and helpful. They still have many items to choose from when I got there at 5:00pm. The quality of the roasted pork and bbq pork were ok but not as good as expected.

Had a craving for Chinese bbq. Nothing located nearby in the Markham Cornell area. Found this little gem on Google. Didn't disappoint! $13 for two massive takeout containers plus comes with a coke with each meal. Quality is good I'm no coniseur, but I was plenty full. Would definitely make this a regular visit for quick meals in the future.

Very good food. Prices were extremely good but with food prices increase everywhere, they have gone up more than expected. Now, prices are about where everyone is...more than what you want to pay. I will still go back because of the really tasty food.

Passed by this mall and decide to give it a try! They taste so good, especially the roasted duck and BBQ pork belly!

Really great value for their rice/meat combo boxes. The BBQ meat is delicious, well made and affordable, they do not cheap out on the meat! Definitely my new go to spot for quick lunch pick up.

2021 August edit: We went back even though they treated me like dirt because their food is so good. Well they changed chefs and the sweet and sour pork is disgusting. Never go back Original review: This store's customer service has never been great, but I've tolerated it. Recently it took a huge turn for the worse, they started cost cutting measures on stupid little things and treat you like dirt. It's bad enough that I'm never going back again.

One of my favourite spots for BBQ food in the GTA.. Roasted pork and duck is my go to. Expect long line ups during specific holidays.

A hidden little gem! The bbq is super yummy. Everything is fresh and the owners are very kind. I do recommend the roasted pork and duck. Super juicy and the taste is very fragrant.

Pork has way too much fat, skin is not crisp at all, taste like metal disks. there's a difference between crisp and hard duck is soggy, portion is very small for 3 combo, but the most important thing is the rice is cold!
