Honestly not acceptable for a restaurant to operate like this, the food quality isn't good, nor does it taste good, portions are mediocre. I don't know if my photo will be accepted, but half way biting into their filled buns, there was no more filling. The bread isn't even cut properly. Cannot let this restaurant operate like this. Wouldn't recommend, wouldn't eat again even if it were free.
I’d give 0 star if possible. I ordered from a delivery app. The food was super bad especially for those meat. There was no taste and really hard to chew. You can see how bad the taste is from the picture. We then called the restaurant to complain. The attitude of the boss was extremely bad and asked as to send the food back to see if it’s really like what we complained. For gods sake, it’s pandemic and it’s Canada! No customers would like to cheat for a few bucks by delivering the food back and put themselves in an unsafe environment. If you’d like to have a horrible experience, just go for this restaurant.
Cash only. Owners are lovely but don't speak much English. I'd give this place 5 stars but the menu wasn't very descriptive for us. We ordered the $8.99 braised pork, alas it turned out to be braised pork feet. All bone and fat. A bit gross for non-pig feet eaters! Lol otherwise the mutton soup was great; the broth reminded me of Pho. The vegetables and fungus was lovely and fresh, as were the shrimp and green onion noodles. I'd return but possibly with a friend that spoke the language.
Food was very tasty and the beef noodle soup was excellent. However, the service was slow only 2 people working and the restaurant was packed and the draft from the front was a bit much. Had a couple issues with our order as well likely due to a language barrier - 1 item missed, 1 item not as ordered.
This a nice little restaurant hidden in the basement of Chinatown. Similar to other restaurants, this one is owned by a Chinese couple who are hard-working and make amazing tasty home made style Chinese food. I and my family and friends frequent this place. We absolutely love the taste of the chili oil - flavourful fragrant tastes just like Szechuan. The dumplings are affordable 16 pcs to 7.99 with meat. You cannot get this price anywhere else! The dumplings are big juicy and full of flavour. I recommend the cabbage pork dumplings. Not too long waiting time. The Chinese couple don't speak English but they are very kind. We once wrote quite a few orders and the owner said we do not need this many food items. Try their food you will love it too!
Owners don’t speak english but they were so friendly and welcoming! Dumplings are rlly good and noodles taste handmade too! We’re a group of 4, we got 2 dumplings, 1 xiao long bao/soup filled dumpling, 1 ribs noodles, and 2 pork buns which taste amazing. Total was 45.14. Would recommend getting a bowl of noodles/person and then dumplings on the side.
Mom and Pop restaurant run by a couple presumably actually from Xi'an. Typical Chinese restaurant service brief, to the point, nice atmosphere love the wood furniture, very cheap prices, and mediocre food compared to legit Xi'an joints I've been to, like Tang's House in Scarborough. Order off the Xi'an specialty menu
The noodle is almost perfect, and the soup is real authentic style. Dumplings are juicy and cheap for the qualityit comes with large portion. Staffs are very friendly as much as you can communicate.
A decent Szechuan cuisine restaurant with a fair price. Portion not too big.
Nice family restaurant. Flavours were authentic and their chili oil was bomb. Just a bit salty for the dumplings.
