Holiday Inn Express Toronto-North York

This is a good place to go if you want to feel like you are dead. There is literally nothing for miles... I wanted to smoke and didn't have a lighter... Well let's just say I hate my life right now and have to put in 30 minutes of solid work to go get some sort of fire since there is no restaurant or bar or anything attached to the hotel or for miles... The hotel lobby was nice and spent 10 minutes looking for a lighter for me.. thanks. They didn't find anything make that 40 minutes to get a lighter... Why make a hotel in the middle of nowhere? This place makes me sad.

Overall good experience. Staff here is fantastic and the room is good. The location isn't the greatest but lots around if you are willing to drive a few minutes. Gym is okay as it only has the most basic and the pool is good for its size. Breakfast is included and tastes great. I just wish it opened earlier then 630.

We arrived at the hotel very tired, only to find out that Airmiles had not "paid for" the room. The front staff was apologetic and helpful. It took a few moments to fix the issue but contacted the people they needed to to fix it for is, rather than sending us away to deal with it on our own.

Terrible wifi, small rooms. If you bring PS or Xbox for your kids the wifi is horrible for them to play online,,not worth trying. Some rooms have TV's that do not have HDMI . Pool was good and breakfast was satisfactory.

If you are staying für longer than two days, avoid this hotel. The rooms are old and not in a good shape, breakfast is everyday the same and really unhealthy with the cheapest products possible. The surrounding area is one of the worst I have ever been to, there are some restaurants in the area but it's all fast food. The only good thing I can say is that most of the staff is friendly. Two stars only because of the staff.
