Comfort Inn Toronto Airport

Frequent travelers be advised; this hotel is super close to the airport, but if you're looking for a normal amount of professionalism or overall cleanliness you're better of spending (even more of) your money elsewhere. This room was way overpriced. You're paying for the proximity to the airport (minutes by shuttle or cab). MOST of the staff are courteous and helpful, however there were major issues with the shuttle...it's very unclear how to schedule a shuttle from the hotel (make sure the receptionist writes your name down, don't assume you've booked a shuttle simply because he or she is typing away at their computer terminal) while you check in, and calling for a shuttle from the airport info desk (as instructed) was a major time vampire, as their 3 digit courtesy kept sending my call through to the wrong hotel(s). The room was fine, but the hotel was pretty gross otherwise. Tattered carpets and nasty floors. The pub bartender was great, the food was...edible (sort of). The biggest issue is that it seems there's been no soundproofing whatsoever. Every time someone walks down the hallway or has even a quiet conversation in a nearby room, especially above you, rest assured you'll hear every word. I'm sure those guests with young children appreciated the man talking profanely and quite loudly into his cellphone for a solid 15 minutes...

Really close to the airport. Clean hotel. Has a bar and a restaurant attached. Great continental breakfast. Lots of selection from yogurt, waffles or hot breakfast. Great service from the front desk. Shuttle wait times are 15 mins to 1 hour.

Great place to stay if you're flying out of Toronto airport. The only thing they need to better would be the parking situation. Other than that I highly recommend. P.s. Dont miss out on the superb complimentary breakfast! An added bonus that is lacking from so many hospitality businesses these days.

The first time I stayed there I was on the first floor , which was good as I had luggage to carry and I was alone, I'm a senior lady traveling alone. The room was what I asked for small just for me . They shuttled me back and forth to the TO. APT. I had an early flight. A week later I have to layover in TO. again and called from the airplane just before take off. That charged me $15+ tax more and made me drag my luggage up two half flights of stairs, and no one offered to help me at all! The hallway smelled strange but the room was clean with two Qu. beds . The shuttle driver was very nice and help me in and out of the van both times I stayed.

Well, unfortunately the little things is what makes it more important sometimes for reviews. One star off because I was stuck in their parking lot for a while. Wasn't even cleared of snow and ice. Really frustrating. Another star off because I couldn't reach the desk since the room phone was broken and I told them twice about it. Sorry comfort Inn, try and do better next time.
