Things have been upgraded somewhat but in my opinion there is a need to do more. In the showers there is rust marks and holes and some new calling would go a long way. The wallpaper has old holes where hairdryer etc were. Looks terrible for a simple fix. Hallway wallpaper also has visible holes here and there. The restaurant itself was more than under par. The two guys are very sweet and work hard. The buffet fruit was awful as if leftover from previous day and brown dried out. I ordered two fried eggs over easy and both yolks were broken. Each time I returned to my room my card wouldn't work I needed to have it reset each time...very annoying. I stay here A LOT as my family are all in North York and having the subway indoor the mall makes me feel safe as a female alone traveller. Each time the room price goes up. I have to always tell them I'm a fairly regular guest and a senior. I usually receive a all discount when I complain. Considering the state of the hotel in general, I think for the costs, you should pay more attention to some time consuming attention but not costly yet, will make a huge impact.
Booked a 3 night stay at this hotel.nnPros:n- Great location to coffee shops, drug stores, food etc..n- Our room was nice and cleann- Staff were friendlynnCons:n- A/C was not blowing cold air at all!n- Beds were hardn- Room was expensive and did not have much to offer. No free breakfast! I will add that our server Adam was fantastic the one morning we decided to get breakfast.n- Paid parkingnnI will most likely not book with this hotel again due to how much we paid for the room without having any other benefits.
The hotel was located in a prime location where walking to lots of amenities was easy and quick. The staff was friendly and checking in and out was seamless. The room was on the 6th floor and was quiet, and clean. It had everything that we needed for our stay. The only complaint is I was not a fan of how the shower worked as there was a small head and a large head but it was hard to figure out how to turn on the large head, and so the small head wasn't overly enjoyable for the entire shower.
I booked the North Rose Suite at Novotel North York hotel for getting ready on my wedding photo shoot day, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The suite is beautiful and impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Whatever we needed, they brought it to us quickly. Overall, I loved my experience and am so happy with my booking. I highly recommend this suite to all brides-to-be.
The staff at front desk are so helpful, especially John! He was very kind, helpful and professional, which made our stay even better. The location is great, but I think the rooms need a little more work when it comes to cleanliness. Will be back soon & will definitely recommend Novotel NY.
