Good location of hotel across from train station. Rooms are a little dated. When wiping down the bathroom wipes came up a bit dirty. Bed was super soft. Breakfast offered is standard hotel breakfast nothing extraordinary. Staff was ok. Not super friendly or helpful but professional. Upper level rooms offer nice views :
We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights last summer and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and recently renovated. The breakfast offered a great variety of choices, and we appreciated the ample parking options, both indoor and outdoor. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay. I highly recommend this hotel.
This place was perfect for us and our two kids. It felt very safe with underground parking and key required elevators. The pool/slide was awesome! The breakfasts was a typical continental breakfast but it had multiple options including hard boiled eggs and fresh fruit. Very glad we stayed here.
We had an awful experience at this hotel. They booked a bunch of hockey teams, for a tournament and we spent our weekend there being physically and verbally accosted by the team members and some of the parents. There were 40 kids in the pool at a time, only supervised once in awhile, there was open drinking beer cans left at the pool and the teens were so violent that we couldn’t swim in the pool with our young kids. When we complained, the front desk agent acknowledged that she had also been mistreated by these kids and adults when she tried to ask them to stop with their antics. She said they have no security on staff to supervise this many teenagers and so unfortunately they could do whatever they like. We told her that we would be asking for our rooms to be compensated.nnIt took days for the General manager Sheri to return our calls and when she did she was incredibly incendiary, aggressive and spoke over us regularly. She scoffed and said I was being insulting when I suggested that they needed security on the premises but clearly didn’t want to pay for the proper staff to cope with so many teams. She was incredibly unkind and offered us only 5000 points as compensation. We paid hundreds of dollars for our room and used 50,000 points for another. This hotel has been a literal nightmare of a place to stay and the manager was super rude and unprofessional to deal with. We highly recommend that no one stay at this hotel, or risk having your entire stay upended by the craziness we experienced as this hotel clearly prioritizes the money they make by booking these teams, over their other guests.nnWe will also be reporting them to the AGLC for allowing so many people to be openly drinking alcohol in the pool and around the pool.
We arrived early and want to checkin early. However the clerk was not having any of it. He pulled out a form and slammed it on the counter and demanded $75. I told him it is going through my insurance company. He could care less. I informed him I needed to use the bathroom. He told me there is a truck stop down the road. I in all my years never been treated like this. I contacted my insurance company and they said yes they would pay the $75. They called Holiday Inn at 2373 Banff trail and the same guy answers the phone and places it on the counter. He doesn’t realize I am on the phone with my insurance company and they are on the phone with me on hold and can hear him babbling away. My insurance company tells me they must be busy. I said to them I’m watching this guy at the front desk and no customer is with him. For 15 minutes he does nothing. I wait, my insurance company waits because this immature kid is having a hissy fit. Why would you want to stay at a place where the staff is so immature and could care less about you? Good grief we seen terrible people but this is atrocious.
