Loved it, celebrated our anniversary here, first time I ever received an upgrade ever!! I appreciated it so much! Had jacuzzi tub which we enjoyed. Didn't try pool. Room was clean and spacious. Service was impressive as I needed a heating pad for my upper stomach they got me a hot water bottle. They welcomed us to the room with a lovely dessert tray and card. I highly reccomend this hotel.. we will definitely be back. And they are reasonably priced. We couldn't afford valet parking, but they were helpful and allowed us to stay out front for an hour. Thank you so much...
This was our first time spending any time in Calgary. The hotel location by the river was great! The construction next door made getting to the river take a bit longer but walking down by the water was worth it.nnWe appreciated the friendly staff. I want to make special mention of Ava at the front desk and Steve who waited on us at breakfast. They were both terrific!nnThe suite was fabulous and added to the enjoyment of our stay in Calgary.
All in all, it’s a nice enough hotel; clean, well-maintained and nicely decorated. On the surface, everything was fine enough, but sadly there were so many little things that lowered my enjoyment.nnSurprise $50 Valet Parking…nMaybe I missed it on the website, but I was NOT expecting to have to pay that, nor did I know I would need assistance EVERY time I needed access to the car. Of course you tip them each time so that $50 doubled quickly over the couple days.nnPool size…nDon’t be caught off guard with the relatively small indoor pool and hot tub. It’s a large hotel and with 3 families down there at once, there’s no room to actually swim or get any peace and relaxation with the seemingly constantly screaming kids.nnGym…nSpeaking of screaming kids, anyone going to the gym, be prepared to constantly hear kids through the glass when you’re trying to find your zone. Wait until the pool is closed and go exercise in the middle of the night if you want to not be bothered constantly.nnDog Beds…nI love that they are pet friendly for all the fur baby parents, but why would a non pet owner need a giant dog bed and bowls in the living area blocking access to the curtains/windows…I feel they should NOT be mandatory to have in your room especially considering limited space and potential allergy problems, and it should only be there when asked for.nnThe Mini-Fridge…nI get it. Hotels try to make extra money off their customers with ridiculously overpriced items but this was ridiculous. There was NO ROOM in the fridge because there was TWENTY bottles of alcohol in there. TWENTY. Plus waters/pop/juices I spent 10 minutes unloading the fridge so that we could actually use it for what we needed. I don’t drink anymore but worked in a bar for decades, so I was shocked to see it all there so accessible. Like kids have VERY easy access to it and I can’t even imagine the horror of someone who’s a recovering addict opening that fridge on day one.I think it’s great that people can get what they want easily and conveniently but offering enough alcohol to kill a person without even ever seeing a bartender…I’m honestly not sure how that’s even legal.nnA/C…nSo it’s cooler than it is outside, I’ll give them that but it’s still too warm in the suites even with it cranked. We should be able to find a comfortable temperature during the day and not be simply sitting in the room with sweat dripping down our brow.nAt night? I sure wouldn’t bother using their ‘comforter’ considering how thick and warm it is for the middle of summer. If you’re cold-blooded, you’ll likely love it, but if you’re even remotely a heat producer like me…get ready to sweat all night long.nnRoom size…nNot much room to move around in the bedroom and you can barely get by the wall hanging TV when leaving the bathroom.nnThe bathroom…nThere’s no fan. Which isn’t necessarily a problem in itself but let’s just say the sliding door to the bedroom softens ZERO noise from that room which leads to some uncomfortable moments for everyone in the room…nnWhen booking the hotel a month ago, we requested a high floor and extra feathered pillows. Neither request was met.nnWe had very limited interaction with any staff except for the front desk and valets but the few we did were friendly and efficient.nnI wouldn’t NOT stay here again, it was fine enough, but I’d likely try a different hotel next time in Calgary to try get a different better experience.
older but very well maintained. beds are. beyond comfy, amazing shower pressure, clean, clean, clean. the quietest place to stay during Stampede. Eau Claire a stunningly redone area, close to river and beautiful walk ways.nnmy new go to hotel for Calgary.
From the moment I arrived, my experience at Sheraton. was nothing short of exceptional. The staff greeted me warmly and handled check-in swiftly and professionally. Every member of the team was courteous, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring a memorable stay.nnThe room was immaculate, elegantly furnished, and thoughtfully designed with both comfort and style in mind. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the linens felt luxurious. I especially appreciated the small touches, such as the welcome note, high-quality toiletries, and complimentary tea service.nnWhat truly sets this hotel apart is the impeccable level of service. Every request was met with a smile and handled efficiently. It is clear that guest satisfaction is their top priority.nnI would wholeheartedly recommend Sheraton. I look forward to returning on my next visit.
