We recently stayed in a 2 Queen Beds Suite at the Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire and had a wonderful experience overall.nThe Room:nOur suite was exceptionally clean and spacious, giving our family plenty of room to stretch out. Of note: the toilet seemed to be slightly lower in height, which was actually perfect for our 5-year-old daughter. The bar fridge was well stocked and beers for $7 seemed reasonable for a downtown hotel.nAmenities & Location:nThe location is hard to beat. Being directly connected to the +15 skywalk system made getting around the city super easy. Our kids got a kick out of walking the +15 skywalk. It’s also right next to great bike trails and Prince's Island Park.nThe pool area was a hit with the kids. Notably, the main pool is shallow throughout 3.3 ft, which makes it family-friendly but unusual. I enjoyed the hot tub, which was at the perfect temperature for me. There are showers and a change room at the entrance of the pool area, as well as a nice outdoor lounge area. One note on the waterslide: it is very fast! It’s a lot of fun, but parents will want to keep a close eye on smaller kids when others are riding or hanging out near the bottom.nService:nThe service here really elevated our stay. Front desk staff and valet were incredibly accommodating from start to finish. On our final day, they went above and beyond by storing our bags after checkout and letting us keep our van with valet while we spent the afternoon biking around Prince’s Island Park.nOne downside was that the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty/slow.nWe would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it for families visiting Calgary!
This hotel was wonderful, we will never forget it! We highly recommend the caring staff members. I was surprised with the honeymoon suite by my husband, and the hotel gave us a delicious platter of assorted desserts and sparkling water we opted for that over their offered champagne, since it was non-alcoholic. The hot tub and slide were so fun - they were highlights of our visit! We will absolutely return someday!
We spent New Year’s Eve at Sheraton Suites Eau Claire and had a great overall experience. While our room wasn’t ready by the 5:00 pm check-in time, the staff handled it professionally and quickly fixed the situation, which we really appreciated. The service throughout our stay was excellent and genuinely attentive.nnThe Club Level lounge was a nice bonus — comfortable, well maintained, and a great place to relax. Breakfast at Wolf & Flower was a highlight: very good quality, fresh options, and a great start to the day.nnOverall, a solid stay with strong service and good amenities. We’d definitely consider staying here again.
Only spent 1 night here but it was very enjoyable. The suites are great and the bed is super comfy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good location near the river. Wish we could have stayed longer !
Update: Just fyi, if you stay here and do their survey they actually respond to them, I got an email response that sounds like a real person that cares, so that's really good to see.nnIt was good. I wish it had a snack and convenience area instead of only the restaurant. At least I didn't find one. The restaurant is good though. The wifi was way too slow. We stayed in a lot of less expensive places on the trip and the wifi was always great, so that's a huge problem. Then the TV in the main area didn't work half the time, I assume because it used wifi to talk to the other TV which was wired into the wall. Big annoyance. The valet parking worked well enough, but it was really expensive, so it should have been a hard no tip place but it didn't feel that way, at least. Some warning about where not to walk would be good, because it was super not fun when we decided to walk around with our kid to go to the convergence the homeless by the river and the various dudes doing drugs together by some fenced off properties, I thought Canada would have better social services, but I guess it's like everywhere else. The in room coffee was good, though I could do without the expensive drinks and stuff in the room. Considering the size of the room the bathroom and shower could have been bigger, it was still cramped, but fine. Oh, and our kid loved the pool. I really didn't like all the slides at all the hotels, too much room for accidents the way they are setup, but the kids do love it, ours thought it was the best thing ever. The adults just have to watch really closely.
