I'm going to make it harder to book this location but they deserve it. I had to stay in a hotel during a repair emergency at home for three nights. I booked the queen bed suite with Jacuzzi. I love a good soak in the tub, what can I say? This room had a cute little kitchen with everything, including a kettle for my tea! There's enough kitchen equipment to cook simple meals. The hotel is close to a Safeway with a decent deli and bake shop, so you can just make a quick run for supplies it's a counter height fridge, so don't be excessive.nBut the staff! Top notch. Friendly, caring people who work their tails off to welcome you.
For the money, it's spot on. You can use a debit card in lieu of a credit card, but it will cost $545 as of Feb 2026. Breakfast room is okay. Staff are really relaxed and friendly: they know their jobs and do them well. I think there might be a variance in quality among the rooms, but am not positive. As is the case with every hotel in the known universe, the coffee is not great. On the other hand, it's free. Location isn't too bad. You've got Rosie's Burgers a block away and you are insane if you don't eat there at least once. There's a few Vietnamese restaurants on the same block. Dollarama, Canadian Tire and Save-on Foods are down the street. Really interesting coffee ship directly across the street. Bus stop near the entrance to the hotel. Safeway and Starbucks are both within walking distance.
Rented a room at the downtown location.nI've stayed at hotels and the best western before, this was the worst experiance I've had.nUpon calling I was told they were booked except for a single room at a high price. Upon looking at their website this wasn't the case.nWe booked a better room for a better price online through their website.. Shady..nbut upon arriving we couldn't find any parking despite it being advertised. Mind you, this is downtown in a sketchy sort of area. I was met with two women who couldn't communicate with me very well. Unfortunately the language barrier was prominent. They seemed unfazed by telling us we had to park on the street. This meant that we had to wake up to move our vehicle at 6 am or wed be at risk of being towed.nThere is no consession or snacks. The only thing the have is a vending machine in the basement. Creepy.nI'll never go back.
The bedding sheets and pillow cases are not clean hairs are all over the place. The table is not clean as well.Much time wasted to call and wait for someone to change the sheets etc.Wastenof time waiting for someone to change the sheets etc. instead of us resting already. Not impressed.Hotel housekeeping is poor. The breakfast though is awesome!nOverall housekeeping need some work.
The 2 bedroom suite room 1010 was spacious. especially the living room, but the TV was so small and so far away we could barely see it. We moved the couch closer to the tv by about half the room and found there were crumbs, hair elastics, and a trading card of some kind under and behind the couch.nnThe beds were very firm and we all woke up with sore backs in the morning. This would be the thing that might make me pick another hotel next trip, and that I would warn others of.nnThe morning breakfast is great. Lots of options, constant refilling and while it was hard to find a place to sit, there is quite a few tables, there was just also a lot of people.nnAs a side note, when we went to order delivery that night for dinner there was no pen or paper pad to write down everyone's order before calling, and when we called silver dragon who is on the hotels list of places that deliver to it they said they don't deliver :.nnAlso, we had sirens screaming down the street 4+ times in the 1-2 hours we waited for and ate dinner, they sounded like they were right in the room, windows do very little to keep out sound and we were on floor 10. So be aware if you are noise sensitive for sleeping, you might have some city noise, and also the AC in our room had a click/ping/twang it kept doing at irregular intervals. you'd just get used to its pattern to sleep then it would pause......and then ping! and start a new pattern.nnReply to hotel:nThank you for the write back. The staff was indeed great at keeping on top of the busy times, and the front desk was very pleasant. kudos to them. Good to know about the product delays, I was kind of wondering as the renovation for 2023/2024 pallet was up in the lobby and we looked at it and we had the new finishes but not the new furnishings. So that explains why we had half the reno lol.nnI appreciate the prompt update on your delivery services, it shows your really on top of issues. I do miss the little things since covid and wish hotels would bring them back. The pen, paper, magazines of attractions and the hotel directory book. When I worked at a hotel our directory book was laminated pages and you just wiped them down with cleaner between guests. But a mobile one does also update a whole lot faster than 200 books >.
