Rolanie helped us out with a parking situation. She was the sweetest most accommodating front desk lady. Haven't even stayed here a night yet, but her service already made it 5 star. Thank you Delta folks :
Only stayed for one night but we had a great experience. Very friendly staff greeted us, and we were promptly checked in. Our room was clean and the concierge was able to have robes and slippers brought to our room for pool usage. The pool/hottub were clean and towels were restocked while we were there. There is even a sauna in each of the change rooms. Thank you for a great experience!
Such lovely hospitality!nWe arrived late after a delayed flight and having collected a hire car from the airport. We were tired and a bit frazzled with driving on the right side of the road English!nI popped in to ask directions to the car park which was actually really easy explaining we’d had a long drawn out day, and when we both came back in the lovely lad on reception handed us a bottle of water each - so very kind and thoughtful!nOur room was lovely, we came downstairs to eat at gone 10.30pm but were served some lovely food and the bar staff were super welcoming and helpful.nThis is how you do hospitality. Bravo team! And thank you! :
We stayed here at the beginning and end of our holiday. The location is great for seeing Calgary and access to the airport. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beds were comfy. But what makes the hotel stand out is the amazing staff, so friendly and helpful. The food in the Shoe and Canoe was so good too. Would 100% recommend to stay here.
This is my second attempt at writing this since the first one disappeared.nnNice hotel, great reception staff.nnIt's in the downtown area so there's a few issues pertaining to location. There is a substantial homeless population that reside around the area including on the hotel property...they're just living their lives but it might be a safety concern for others.nnCheck in was painless with very friendly desk staff. What was painful was parking......it is underground hotel parking but it is also public parking and first-come-first-served for both hotel & public vehicles. The parking spots are quite narrow so being able to manipulate your vehicle is a required skill. There is ONLY enough room for one side of vehicle doors to be open when parked.....obviously, some users feel entitled to park before offloading their passengers and baggage.....by leaving insufficient room for anyone to park beside them perhaps this was the strategy all along....but I made sure they were aware to not procreate driver's with their sense of entitlement or driving skillnnRooms are nice with a comfortable bed....far too small if the two queen beds are occupied by couples, but comfortable nonetheless. There is both the King James version of The Holy Bible AND The Book of Mormon.....so you're at least covered from two religious aspects nnThere is a fridge, but no microwave and a one-cup-at-a-time coffee maker which accepts ONLY the hotel supplied coffee pouches. That said, there are plenty of coffee shops in the area.nnThere is NO control on the HVAC system....there is a thermostat, but it only turns on the fan; there is no control on heating or air conditioning. if you like it a little warmer or cooler, you're out of luck.nnWhat you CAN do, is jump into a nice warm shower.......about 3 minutes in, the shower went ICE COLD for a couple of minutes, returning to normal. Whether this is due to being on the 6th floor or not, the shower pressure is poor. Otherwise the bathroom is appointed well. So...start the water running a few minutes before climbing in. There's no tiny little bottles of hair conditioning, shampoo and bodywash.....instead, bulk bottles are in the shower.....excellent! nnThe TV is updated with plenty of ways to watch the multitude of available channels or direct wireless streaming from your tablet/cellphone/laptop.nnThere is a restaurant on-site, and perhaps the food is Michelin Star, but given the area restaurants more suitable to my blue collar pallet, I felt the prices were outside of my range.nnI had the sense that, given the services, the hotel was a little overpriced than comparable properties in the area.nnI had pictures but somehow they became lost in the first inception of this review
