The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and I was fortunate to have a beautiful view of the Calgary Tower, especially stunning at night.nnOne of the highlights of my stay was access to the Delta Pantry. The lounge offers magnificent views overlooking the river, creating a relaxing atmosphere to unwind. The complimentary selection of snacks, coffee, and beverages available throughout the day was an excellent added benefit and greatly enhanced the overall experience.nnThe staff were friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a great choice for anyone visiting Calgary, whether for business or leisure.
We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, and I’m so glad I booked this hotel! We arrived early, around 1 PM, and they allowed us to check in at that time, even though the official check-in time is 3 PM. The receptionist at the counter was very accommodating. We loved our room on the 19th floor—it had a stunning view! My kids especially enjoyed the swimming pool because the water was warm, and they also had a hot tub and sauna. The room itself was perfect; the bed was comfortable, and everything was clean. Although the breakfast wasn’t a buffet, it was still very good. We felt so welcome, as most of the staff were Filipino, which added a warm, familiar touch to our stay. I requested a late check-out due to the snow that day, and they kindly accommodated our request. I must say, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend it to my family and friends, and we can’t wait to come back. We had an amazing stay!
We stayed at this Marriott for multiple nights in double-bed room. We were too tired to check thoroughly the first night, but on the second night, while turning down the bedding, we noticed a brown stain on the inside of one sheet. The bed had looked perfectly fine from the outside. Then when I checked the other bed, I found blood spot on the inside of those sheets as well.nIt feels very unpleasant to realize we had slept on these the first night already. I didn’t know that they don’t wash these after every use regardless of stains, but this is not the standard I expect from Marriott. I’ve stayed at over 20 Marriott properties across Canada and the US, and this is the first time I’ve encountered this kind of issue. Guests shouldn’t have to inspect the inside of their sheets upon arrival at a premium hotel.nnThe only reason I didn’t rate this stay lower is because the front desk staff service was excellent overall, and they and sent someone to provide new bedding when we reported it. Unfortunately, this experience really soured our experience.nnAnd like several other reviewers have noted, there is a fire/ems building at the foot of the hotel. If you get a room with a view of the Calgary tower, it is highly likely you will hear the sirens every 5-10 mins. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs, I only managed by sleeping with noise cancelling headphones on.
The Hotel is located at a prime location, with easy access to city train and bus. One can walk down to nearby locations such as China town or down town.nnRooms are spacious with standard amenities.nnThe restaurant and bar has everyday happy hour with special happy hour menu. A live band was in performance and Food quality is excellent.nnWe enjoyed our family stay.
I’ve never stayed here but whoever Tony is on their staff deserves a RAISE. I called from out of town the night before my best friend‘s birthday. She was checking out in the morning and asked if I could just get Uber eats up to the room and this man said I can’t guarantee that it would make it there in time so instead, he wrote her a card on my behalf and drew the cutest pictures and a message on it for her and made sure she got it at her checkout and he was literally one of the best hotel staff I’ve ever dealt with.
