Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montreal

The worst hospital if someone wants to die then go there. None of the departments is organized. Young kids at each reception desk on their phone all the time or chatting with each other do not care who is waiting they don’t give u an answer to any of the questions and very rude. They have a paper asking to respect their employees but they give themselves the right to be rude with patients. My husband had an open heart surgery and was discharged three weeks ago no one called us for follow up and when we call the nurse to check the msg is we are closed call another time although we are calling constantly, you feel alone as if no one care even if u are in serious condition. I wish we can go to another hospital but the system oblige us to continue where the operation took place. Going to that hospital is soooo frustrating and discouraging, no one is doing anything to improve the service. After two hours waiting for an appointment that was scheduled for 1:45 every 30 minutes i ask the receptionist they say you are next . we discovered that they didn’t give the paperwork to the dr until recently so other people were in and out and we are waiting when i went to ask the receptionist why they delayed the papers they were closed human doesn’t have any value in this hospital and no one care as long as they enjoy chatting and laughing and don’t like to be bothered by the patients questions

Was sent here for stroke and heart attack by ambulance. From the moment I came in to the time I left 2 weeks later I received exceptional care and support. 2 years later and still followed closely by the specialists there. During my stay, all staff from Nurses and Specialists to cleaning crew were above friendly and courteous.

Spent 8 weeks there recently and during my stay the care was phenomenal considering their working conditions Limb and Lifesavers. They have an awe-inspiring Chapel on the 3rd floor the quietest place I have ever been in my life

My sister is in this hospital and she being taken care of very well, but the cafeteria is another thing my wife and I came to have lunch and the lady at the check out said she didn't speak English in English and said with a attitude I only speak French here and she told her college that what you say here only, you speak French we will no longer support the cafeteria in this hospital, but we do support the medical services they are doing a great job, thank you all for the great service you are doing for my sister. Keep up the great work

This hospital is everything that is right about the Quebec health care system. Sure the hospital needs refurbishing but the staff are caring and compassionate and the doctors and nurses very competent and efficient. Yes, waiting times are long, but, hey, go check out other provinces and see if it is any better. We had an appointment at the Jewish prior to Sacré Coeur and we waited much longer at the Jewish. But again, wait times that were justified.
