Their emergency room is absolutely the best place to be taken care of in your hardest time. The staff doctors and nurses,starting with the Triage and Registration is very knowledgeable, patient ,kind ,compassionate and caring which makes a BIG difference for the patient in urgent situations. I spent there about 18 hours from 7 pm till 1 pmnNOT because of the 114% occupancy rate and waiting to be seen,but because that's how fast they did ALL the blood tests ,exams,X-rays,scans and getting back the results ,so I can go home feeling OK and knowing what was wrong before. I never lacked any comfort kudos for the Lazy-Boy chairs :nThank you for all of you,what a wonderful staff !
I came to ER at 4:40 pm on Thursday, May 30.nAfter 12 hours, I'm still waiting to see a doctor and I think that It'll take some hours more. It's incredible!!!nWhere's Canada's health system going??????nPlease, don't come to this hospital!!
Good afternoon. This hospital and the staff are very responsible. I had a cesarean operation. The doctors are very efficient, everything went perfectly, my son is alive and well, I am also fine. Many thanks doctors who are professionals in their specialty. God bless you and health to your hands.
Actually had a pleasant experience at the emergency a few days ago. Staff is kind and patient. They are goofy, and welcome you often.nSure the wait time sucks, but it's the canadian system for hospitals can't really blame them.nCustomer service is really good here.nThey take care of you and make sure to do every tests to understand what is going on. It was with Dr. Koumes. She's amazing at the emergency very caring.
I had been going to the ER at St-Mary's for over a decade. That stops now.nnIt's not the same nurses or doctors before that despite challenges by imposing government starvation of health care, they did more than their due diligence in the ER. That's all changed for the worse.nnYesterday afternoon, at 3pm, I arrived at the ER. Been dealing with a hernia since November, officially diagnosed in February. I had a lot of pain yesterday as well as intestinal issues which can be part and parcel of a hernia.nnFor openers, the gates for cars to go up the ramps to the Main entrance and the ER were shut and no tickets being issued so no choice but for taxi or uber to let me off at the sidewalk. I was having a hard time going up to the Entrance. Imagine someone with impaired mobility?nnIn the past when we picked our numbers for triage, triage would be relatively smooth sailing with many questions like medications we take and such. Not yesterday. In fact, the waiting room was standing room only! Only 2 triage rooms in the wait area. One of which was always closed and they were taking more of their time between patients unlike before.nnThe sound system did not work so whoever was calling patients sounded like a very faint muffled Charlie Brown's teacher. So I couldn't hear. I mentioned to reception several occasions that I cannot hear the loudspeaker to which they said oh it doesn't matter they will come and get you if we do not respond when called which absolutely did not happen much of the time.nnIn the 9 hours I was there, I observed no one go to clean the two washrooms that are in the waiting room.nnThe place smelled very bad.nnOh and I gave up after 9 hours of being ignored or getting the runaround. Now, 24 hours later, I don't think they called my name.
