Gideon Boxing Academy is founded and lead by Horace "The Mighty" Hunter, where he teaches and trains individuals to exhibit the highest level of technical and tactical boxing from training, to sparring, onward to competition.

Story

Horace trains amateur and professional boxers and MMA fighters looking to improve their striking. He is also a personal trainer who has a passion for getting people in shape while teaching them the fundamentals and technical aspects of boxing. He has a similar approach to teaching boxercise classes, with more focus on conditioning while maintaining a positive group atmosphere.

With the ability to teach ring-awareness and technique like no other boxing establishment around, Gideon Boxing's focus on healthy lifestyle both in and out of the ring means that whether you are here to compete or just for fitness, all have the ability to learn valuable life-lessons that go far beyond just boxing.

Excellent true Boxing facility.  Very knowledgeable and professional coaches.  Head Coach Horace Hunter is a fantastic coach and motivator.  This gym is hard core and very focused on a team atmosphere.  Very challenging classes and the variety is great for all fitness levels.  The personal training sessions are exceptional and is a pleasure to learn from the city's best!  The first class was free too!

Great gym to learn the fundamentals of boxing and Horace has many years of experience both professionally and as a coach. One of the best gyms in Scarborough!

The classes at Gideon are simply great. Lots of technical expertise and experience helped me to learn much more than I had hoped for in a very short time training. Class makes for a tough workout and partner work is well instructed. The other students help make it a friendly but no-nonsense environment. Here you work hard and have fun at the same time.

Great coaching staff that are able to work with you at your pace. I think this gym is good for anyone at any fitness level.

Horace is a great teacher! He coached one of my friends till he won the Brampton cup. Overall, if you want to be a good boxer, you'll learn a lot here. Would recommend to anyone!
