I checked out this gym a few months ago for comparison, and when I returned last week, it was noticeably cleaner and tidier. The staff were super friendly, and the equipment looked well taken care of. I even got to chat with Kim, the manager, who was really nice and answered all my questions about memberships. It was a great place to exercise.
I’m super close to this gym it’s over all really clean and the staff is super nice and helpful but when the machines break there broken for a long time example the leg press machines the one were you don’t have to put the round weights on the end has been broken for over a month now i use the treadmills which work great and the leg press machines . I don’t mind using the ones with actual weights on them but the other ones are so much more convenient I hope they get fixed soon .
I joined Fit4Less at Kennedy Rd. just a few months ago, and while I initially enjoyed the gym, my recent experience has been deeply disappointing.nnDue to some unexpected banking issues and a busy schedule, I missed a payment. I received an email notifying me that my account would be canceled, so I immediately called the location and spoke with the regional manager. She reassured me and asked when I could make the payment. I told her I could come in within the hour, and I did, paying the full amount.nnWhile I was there, I asked if I could pay for the remainder of the year to prevent future issues, but I was told that wasn’t possible and that management would need to assist me further. I also asked if I could still work out, and I was told yes. Since I usually work out at 6 am, I was advised that my sister could open the door for me at that time.nnI tried this a few times, but every time, the alarm went off, making me feel like a criminal just for trying to access the gym. I eventually had to adjust my workout schedule to match the hours when staff were present, which was very inconvenient.nnToday, I followed up again and was told my account had been canceled. To make matters worse, I was told I would need to create a new account and pay another annual fee. This is incredibly frustrating and disrespectful. I acted in good faith by making my payment immediately and was promised my account would be taken care of, but nothing was resolved.nnOn top of these issues, I’ve noticed that the women’s bathroom facilities need more attention. The cleanliness and upkeep are lacking, which makes the overall gym experience even more frustrating.nnAs a new member, this experience has been disheartening. Fit4Less has shown poor communication and an inability to handle even basic account updates. Instead of valuing my membership and efforts to resolve the issue, they’ve made me feel unwelcome and unappreciated.
After my membership expired, I registered for a new one online and received a QR code to get a new card. I’ve done this process multiple times before, so I assumed everything would go smoothly. I went to the Ajax location, scanned the QR code at the kiosk, but it attempted to charge me $20 plus tax for the new card. I then approached the receptionist, who tried to help me activate it at the kiosk and at the desk, but it kept showing the same charge. Eventually, she told me that my old card should still work and suggested I just use that.nnFast forward to when I decided to go to this location to use my old card, but it didn’t work. A staff member named Ariel let me in but questioned why my card wasn’t working. When I explained what happened at Ajax, she responded rudely, giving me a dirty look and repeatedly insisting, “They wouldn’t have told you that because that’s not how it works,” as though I were lying. When I assured her that the Ajax staff had, in fact, told me to use my old card, she continued to argue and eventually said, “Unless they are new or don’t know the policy.”nnWhile I understand that there may have been a misunderstanding regarding policy, Ariel’s attitude was unprofessional and unnecessary. Instead of treating me like I was being dishonest or ignorant, she could have handled the situation more respectfully. A simple explanation, combined with an apology for the inconvenience, would have sufficed. For example, “The lady at Ajax might have been mistaken, but I can issue you a new card now. Sorry about that.” Instead, I felt belittled and dismissed.nnI hope this feedback can be used to improve customer service standards across your locations. This is a great gym to exercise with friends or family. There are plenty of machines and free weights. But it becomes very crowded during the weekdays especially during 3 pm - 7 pm. Go any time on the weekends if you like to avoid the crowds and after 8pm on weekdays.
