Red Carpet Inn

The beds were super comfy, the staff was friendly, and it was a good price. Walking distance to downtown was an added bonus. But the rooms didn’t feel very clean. There was a face towel still hanging on the shower curtain, that was there from the person before. The hallway and elevator have a weird musty/cigarette kind of smell. And there was a family across from us that had kids that were screaming and talking really loudly, even the adults were loud, and a dog that barked a lot. They were like this till midnight and then at the crack of dawn they were yelling down the hallway to each other. Called the front desk and complained and they said they would send someone up, but no one ever came. I know the hotel is not to blame for the family being ridiculous, but it definitely didn’t add to the experience. I was just here for a couple days and didn’t spend much time in the room other then sleeping. If your coming to Banff for a short trip or for the skiing/snowboarding and you know your not going to be spending much time in the room then this place is good, but anything more then that I would probably stay somewhere else.

The good 👍 Our king sized bed was super comfy! The washroom was nice and clean. Decent amount of lighting in the room. Overall cleanliness was A+. Its a nice short walk to down town and amenities. The bad 👎 The exterior of the building needs some maintenance. No microwave in our room. The A/C fan was so loud I thought it was going to take off... We also had a difficult time in the foyer apon arrival/check in, due to the limited amount of space to park. During our stay we had to park behind the building, because of hight restrictions to underground parking "5.4 meters if I remember correctly". In the AM after check out another person (not even a registered guest) parked behind my truck and blocked me in... I had to have reception ask other persons in the hotel to move their vehicle, just so i could get mine out. Huge inconvenience for guest, but parking seems to be an issue in most areas of Banff.

I booked a room with 2 queen size beds because they didn't have anything for 3 occupants and when I had checked in they had upgraded our room to a 3 queen size bed free of charge. Rooms are large, staff was friendly and very informed of the surroundings. Their pool room was down when we went but they had made High Country Inn's pool room available.

Bed was warm and comfy. Room was clean and decent size. Bathroom appears to be newly updated. big deep-ish bathtub. Friendly front desk. Pet friendly for an extra fee which is fine because we wouldn't ever leave our dog to.sleep on the car alone... Great stay for the price. Underground parking when it was -25 was KEY! Didn't use the pool

I really enjoyed my stay here! The bed was really comfortable. The room was very clean and newly renovated which was nice. Also the staff are really helpful and friendly.
