Edmonton Public Library - West Henday Promenade (Lewis Estates)

this joint sucks, its so small you have nowhere to sit!!! You want a specific book? Well they dont have it!!! They have all of 2 books!! The other shleves are empty and take up all the space where we could be sitting!!!! - my friend paris callingwood for the win

I consider a library a place that is quiet where you can concentrate on whatever work you are doing, or whatever you happen to be reading. This place is so small that no matter where you go there is always tonnes of noise. I'll admit the people are friendly, but they talk a lot and can't keep quiet. I feel they are more meant to work at a coffee shop where you can be all chatty then a library. They get two stars due to friendliness, but your far better off to drive an extra 3 km's and go the Callingwood library.

I love this little book stop. The staff are always extremely friendly and helpful - I'm certain I've got a warm "hello!" Or other greeting every time I've entered here. Even on the phone the staff are helpful when asking about their study spaces. My holds are always exactly where they should be so I can be in and out in less than 30 seconds if I so wish. Be aware this is more of a collection point for books on hold than it is a full library - if you don't already, get the EPL app so you can put them on hold as you go!

Got my Library Card setup there, staff were very helpful. Very quiet place, we were there on a weeknight around 7.

This library is not an ideal place to read or study, it's like a play area, in one corner children are playing video game and they are too loud and the librarian did not do anything at all, and onething more,i go almost everyday in this library and i noticed that the staff are selecting whom to say "hello or hi!" They only greet those people they like. Everytime i walk in they just look at me as if in their mind, you again?
