My recent visit to the Edmonton Public Library left me with a mixed bag of impressions, but overall, it was a positive experience. Upon entering I was greeted by a super-friendly old lady whose warmth and helpfulness set a welcoming tone for my visit. She efficiently assisted me with printing, making the process hassle-free.nnThe library's spacious layout immediately caught my attention, providing ample room for browsing and reading. The vast collection of books further impressed me, catering to a wide range of interests and preferences. It's undoubtedly a haven for book lovers.nnFor families with children, the Library offers a treasure trove of resources and activities. From engaging storytimes to educational workshops, there's plenty to keep young minds stimulated and entertained.nnHowever, it's important to note that during my visit, I observed a significant presence of homeless individuals using the computers on the third floor. While this didn't directly impact my experience, it's something to be mindful of, especially for visitors with specific concerns or preferences.
I want to write a lot about this place. I went to Edmonton for a week. If I could, I would have spent all that week in there. There is so much to read. There are all you can think of when thinking of relaxing with $0 spent.
My 2.5 year old loves this library so much. We spent nearly 3 hours here. Multiple types of play - a train set, a play kitchen, a running course, sensory scarves, balls, fish tank... phew. Tons of kids there by 1pm. It's warm in there so wear layers.nWatch out for the homeless smoking crack in front of the library and a multitude of them inside security just watches.
Great library it is huge and has gaming systems you can play on the library card is free and free wifi there's a studio in there for music. You can have free computer time to maybe build a resume it's really good very impressive for a library!!
Amazing library with so much to do and read! Also loved all the art and archives.
